Was in town for a small birthday trip and this place was on my list from the start. Tried a variety of other restaurants throughout the trip and was a bit disappointed by the other restaurants food.
But you know what they say about saving the best for last! I cannot put into words how amazing the food is and how it brought back memories and a piece of me that was missing (I am so serious). The brisket and Mac N Cheese were the best I ever had (the stars in my opinion) but everything else was still so amazing. And ive never been asked what section of cornbread I prefer!
Sean was so patient as my boyfriend and I looked over the menu and explaining how it worked. They have a small shelf with nice blankets and beach towels that you can purchase. And wanting to support this business further I bought one. And even though he didnt have to he gave me a birthday discount on the blanket which made my whole trip on top of the already amazing food!
Overall shocked this place isnt booming with people as the food is delicious, service is amazing and the atmosphere reminded me of part of my childhood, like home. Will definitely be our first stop next time we’re back in town!

We were just driving by, saw the BBQ smoking but it was the smell of meat that grabbed us by our nostrals pulling us to Gray’s Comfort Q.
The owner is the sweetest & most handsome gentleman on the beach! He serves up the best Texas BBQ you will find. The atmosphere is casual dinning yet very comfortable. Its a paper towel and paper cup type of place so, you know the food is BOMB!
We ordered the three meat plate which comes with one side. We chose beans which was a really hard choice.
Ribs – The ribs were beautifully, smoked like a piece of art. Not too soft not too tough but deep flavors.
Brisket – Was peppered to perfection. A bit on the spicy side, and it was so juice. I couldn’t stop eating it until my husband kindly reminded me we were sharing.
Pulled Pork- WOW! Great flavor and a bit on the sweet side. Very tender pork packed with flavor.
Beans – I can only discribe the beans as creamy, spicy goodness. I love that they were not mushy but still soaked up all the flavors.
I will definetely go back to support this business next time I’m at the beach. My only regret is not ordering the Collard greens & Mac’n Cheese as well.

For the same price as some pizzas or taco bell, I fed my family of four and amazing homestyle meal. Sean is an amazing person who puts all his soul into his food. I got the pulled pork, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and beans. He even threw in cornbread that was moist and buttery to perfection. I loved it, kids ate it(total win in my book), and we even had left overs. If you want quality food for your hard earned dollar, go to Gray’s BBQ.

Nice little restaurant in seaside with great service and BBQ. They make all their food from scratch even roast their own coffee beans! The chicken was to die for but all was excellent. Cozy little place!

It’s pretty rare to find a great bbq spot that hits so well. +They in house roast their single origin coffee from Ethiopia and Guatemala, as well.

Was driving up the coast and we needed lunch for our family, we just randomly picked this place and we were so glad we did. We got the Brisket, pulled pork, Mac, collard greens, corn bread and the chocolate cake and my goodness it was worth it! Sean is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his cooking! We just talked with him the whole time we ate and it was like he was someone we’ve known for 5 years and not 5 minutes! He even let us sample the German sausage and it was the best smoked sausage I’ve ever had. This place is amazing and I encourage anyone in Seaside to take the time to go there. We will be back and this will now be our go to lunch spot when traveling the Northern Oregon Coast

Shawn is such a friendly guy and the BBQ was amazing. We had the brisket plate with collards and coleslaw and a 4 rib plate with beans and corn bread. Can’t go wrong with any of it. There are 2 homemade BBQ sauces: smoky jalapeño cherry and a sweet peppercorn. I liked the jalapeño the best but both were delicious. We will definitely be back!

Wow! Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. I could eat this breakfast, noon and night. Even my 7yo gobbled up the BBQ meat which is the ultimate testament to just how yummy this food is. And more importantly than the food – the owner of this restaurant is the type of person that makes you proud to be a human. His kindness and love of his work shines through the moment you step into his presence. Even my daughter (who was having a tough moment upon our arrival) commented when we left “He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He turned my whole mood around.” We got the brisket, collard greens, Mac & cheese and cornbread. The owner told me the collard greens have been in his family for 100 years. I agree with other reviewers – chef’s kiss. This is a not to be missed place on the OR coast!

I found this place on a recent trip and got the 3 meat mixed plate. The brisket was delicious, and the 3 or so large ribs were very good also. However I think they forgot to give me the 3rd meat. By the time I got to eating my food they were closed and so felt it was a little pointless in calling the next day? What do you all think?. At 35 bucks ill show a picture of what I recieved, thanks all.
