Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

This was a great stop for lunch on a road trip. We had the Runza. I don’t usually like cabbage and I ordered the Runza not knowing, however it was nicely cooked with the meat and was very tasty. The fries and onion rings were crispy and not greasy.

Our party of two stopped here for lunch today while cruising on some scenic rural state highways through miles of ag land and small towns.

9/2/25 ordered spicy jack Runza fries and water. Didn’t get a water and got a Swiss mushroom burger. Also didn’t get asked if wanted receipt and did not get one of any kind. Kid told me it would’ve been quicker to go to Pizza Hut. I think next time I’ll take him up on that.

Don’t go to this Runza as they will serve you food longer than it is supposed to be legally held. They also don’t wash their hands before they handle your food. There are serious health code violations at this restaurant. Also they use ingredients that are past there use by date lettuce and all other ingredients . This place serves food to it’s customer when flies are landing on the food.

I was traveling through Albion going to SD and stopped to get Runza’s to take for friends. I was there right when they opened and ordered 8 cheese Runza’s. The lady who was working came out and said next time please call ahead because they don’t make a lot first thing in the morning. I apologize for taking all that they had baked. But overall that lady was so very kind and professional in explaining about how they only bake so many first thing in the morning. I wish I could remember her name because she was AWESOME. I was there on July 30th.

The food was bad, only half a container of fries, that’s with the ones laying at bottom of bag which were obviously very old. Girl working was rude and seemed inconvenienced we even stopped. This runza is not the one to stop at.
Note: this is not the first issue we have had with this runza, the owners don’t seem to care about their customers.

Fast and friendly service for our party of 5. The food was ready quickly. It was our first time visiting this Runza location. It was smaller than many of the others in the chain. Only one restroom was available, so there was a longer wait for that than for the food.
