I’m a picky pain in the ass. I asked if I could get a Philly without onions knowing it was probably all prepped and pre-mixed…. Which it was. Even though they were clearly hustling to keep up they were willing to literally pick the onions out for me without hesitation. Had they told me no I simply woulda ordered something else. But they didn’t!
The food was great. The crew was awesome. As you can tell by my photo there was nothing left to show

10/10! It’s hard to find a normal lowkey coffee / food spot in the St George area and this place nails it. The breakfast burrito was unreal. The coffee is great! And the atmosphere is so lovely and casual. Prices are way more than fair. Highly recommend!

Was a perfect spot for lunch. Friendly staff. The Turkey Bacon wrap was fresh and equally portioned between all ingredients. Highly recommend to fulfill all appetites as they offer a reasonably priced menu including a breakfast burrito for $3!

This is the best sub I’ve ever had. I usually do not write reviews, but this was so good. I consume the sub with the windows down while listening to electric Avenue and I’ve never realized how good life was. The trees look greener. The sky looks blue in the world. Seems brighter thank you American grinders. I’ll never be able to repay you.

Great place to get coffee and sandwiches! I went on the last Saturday of the month to check out the “Cars & Coffee” meetup held by the Desert Rodders Car Club.

I used to enjoy this restaurant as far as quick cheap dives that are close to work were concerned. They used to have decent prices, and used to have fun servers that made the place inviting and fun. That is all gone now. The prices are through the roof, and they traded the fun bubbly servers for a cranky looking old guy that seems inconvenienced by having to serve people, and stares at you like you’re loitering while you’re trying to enjoy their poorly made food.
Side note, I didnt realize Tabasco sauce could turn the dangerous looking color that all of the bottles on the tables in this place are.
I used to eat here daily, but unfortunately I will not be returning.

Disappointed. I was so excited to try this “gem” and I was completely let down. I waited 45 mins for a basic burrito and a few more mins for my coffee order they had forgot. It would be one thing if I looked over and they were busting their ass… 5 people in the kitchen and they were so confused with only a single patty on a griddle. The staff was not experienced… At all. I felt it was a waste of my time and not impressed with anything about this place. I wish I would have not stopped and saved my money.. and time

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak from American Grinders and now nothing else is good anymore.
This sandwich showed up like it had a résumé. The bread was toasted to criminal perfection. The steak was so tender I felt rude chewing it. The cheese melted with absolute commitment…no escape plan…no regrets. The onions and peppers didn’t exist…they understood the assignment.
Halfway through, I slowed down…not because I was full…but because I didn’t want to say goodbye. I made eye contact with the sandwich. We had a moment.
Then I drank the coffee.
Now I’m awake, happy, and emotionally bonded to this place.
Afterward I sat in my car rethinking every sandwich I’ve ever defended. Some apologies are coming.
