We ordered a take out for a couple of Chole bature and a paneer tikka . The restaurant was very upfront about the 20-25 min wait for the food . The food was worth the wait . Good quality and fresh food. The chole flavors were spot on with authenticity. The Batura was good sized and although 2 are included in an order, one Batura is a good sized portion . The paneer tikka was tasty but dry , paneer should have been a tad bit more moist . It was a take out , so ambience didn’t matter. Anyway , good food .

We came for an early dinner to try this place which opened in February. We ordered Afghani chicken, Pakora fish (salmon), chicken tikka biriyani (medium heat) with raita, tandoori fish (salmon) and garlic naan. After about 15 min, our food arrived. All were tasty. The Afghani chicken had a nice coconut sauce. The green and brown chutney added more flavor. The meats were perfectly cooked. Service was nice and efficient. Chai was a nice blend. Simpler food the second time. Chole bhatura, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The naan is still a favorite. The sauces for the other two items were ok, needed a little more flavor.

These folks own another restaurant near me that my family have been going to for years. I wanted to try this one to support them and because I love Tandoori Chicken. AND OF COURSE, it was fabulous! They’re open late, another of my favorite things about this restaurant. So I went late evening. It was quiet but the place was full. People were talking and enjoying themselves but there was peace in the restaurant. My food came quickly, it was hot, flavorful, tasty, and the portion size was fantastic. The rice was fragrant the way Indian style made rice always is, the meat was tender, juicy and had a tiny bit of kick to it. The owner served me. I have been buying food from him for almost a decade. There was trust in this transaction. I knew the food was gonna be so good, just didn’t know how good. But now I have a new weekend classic restaurant that’s open late for a great meal either by myself or with friends. I highly recommend checking out Tandoori Junction. You will not be disappointed.

We came with our family and 2 kids. The food is very authentic and traditional. Very close to home cooked meals. The staff recommendations are also great. The food was catered to our individual spice levels. We ordered the butter chicken which we thought was better than Sanjeev kapurs high end restaurant in Palo Alto. Definitely a hole in the wall authentic Indian restaurant. Highly recommend. We heard the chef who designed the menu comes from some Michelin star Indian restaurants.

After my second visit, I can confidently say this has become a favorite spot in the Bay Area. As someone who recently moved from NYC, which has a lot of amazing Indian restaurants, this place has quickly become a top choice, hands down.

Everything I’ve had here has been solid. The staff and owner are very attentive and prices are very reasonable for the area.

A note for the spice junkies, “spicy” won’t have you sweating, but it is a perfect amount of kick and flavor.

Helloooooo my spicy little chickpeas! Your queen Mother Masala is GAGGING over the flavor explosion I just experienced at Tandoori Junction! Four snaps in a Z-formation for this flavorful feast that had me living my best curry fantasy, hunty!

That Chicken 65 Biryani was serving BODY-ODY-ODY with its perfectly cooked rice and that chicken giving me all the seasoned drama I needed! Was it spicier than the backstage tea at a pageant? Absolutely! But mama didn’t raise no seasoning-shy queen!

The Butter Chicken? DIVINE! Creamy, luxurious, and richer than my ex’s new boyfriend. That sauce was so velvety I wanted to sew it into a gown and werk the runway!

Now the Palak Aloo threw some green realness that had me saying “Yes, spinach! Work that potato! Serve that nutrition!” It was giving healthy goddess while still bringing the flavor dance party!

That garlic naan? STUN-NING! Freshly baked, glistening with buttery goodness like my highlighter after a good setting spray. Though I had to get all diva and remind them I ordered it – don’t make a queen wait for her carbs, darling!

The service? Well… let’s just say it was more chaotic than my first time in five-inch platforms. A bit of confusion on the dance floor, if you know what I mean. Menus after ordering? A chai I didn’t ask for? My Mango Lassi playing hide and seek? The drama!

Four stars, my lovelies! The flavors were IT, but the service needs a little choreography lesson. Might stick to takeout next time – this queen can’t handle another encore of “where’s my naan?”

XOXO,
Mother Masala

I experienced a 90-minute delay for a simple order of three naan. I scheduled a pickup for 10:30 and didn’t receive the food until 12

The most disappointing part wasn’t the wait—it was the management. When I asked the manager looking guy why the order was so late, he was incredibly rude, literally turning his back to me and was like, “So? What are you going to do about it?”

The only saving grace of this establishment is the receptionist. She was very kind and kept apologizing for the delay. She clearly cares about the customers, but unfortunately, the manager does not. I won’t be returning.
