We were here for the grand re opening and all the staff were incredible. Cozy neighborhood feel to this bar and grill. The burgers we got were so delicious. Fries were perfect. Go give the new owner and her staff some love. You wont be disappointed. We plan to make the drive back soon. Also live music is always good and we were there when Crimson Theory played. They are a phenomenal band. Hoping they are back at the Yard sometime soon.

I went to college in Menomonie and was back for the weekend a bit ago to check this place out. The service is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. You can tell the staff actually cares about the experience they’re providing, not just going through the motions.
The owner truly sets the tone here. They’re hands-on, personable, and clearly take pride in the business, which shows in every detail. It’s rare to find a place where the ownership is this invested in both the customers and the quality of service.

I have hesitated on doing a review until visiting a few times. I have had very positive interaction with the new staff/ownership and the food has been consistent and tasty. The liquor selection has been improving especially on the Bourbon/Whiskey side and have heard many good responses on the live music which I look forward to enjoying soon.

So I stopped into my friend’s new bar and grill and honestly—what a win. The whole place has such a welcoming vibe, and you can tell they poured their heart into creating a space people actually want to hang out in.
I ordered a seltzer, cheese curds, and a BLT with cheese, and it was genuinely delicious. The curds were better than Culvers . The BLT was perfectly toasted and the added cheese took it to a whole new level. Simple done right is underrated, and they nailed it!
If you’re looking for a spot with great food, good energy, and owners who truly care about what they’re building, this is it. Highly recommend stopping by—you’ll definitely want to come back. ✨

The few times i’ve been in since the switch to the yard, the service has been quite rough. Long wait times, no one can seem to figure out the point of sale system, or answer the phone.
The bar atmosphere is drastically less than exciting compared to a normal bar on a Saturday night. Many Saturday nights they have been closed before 10pm.
In addition to that, I am in close proximity to the company they contracted for snow removal. The owners of the yard refuse to pay this company for their snow removal services. Not only is this rude, but it is a bad show as a business owner.

stopped in for a drink, Oct 29, met the bartender-Jordan- very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. she also made a good drink. UPDATE: stopped in on Veterans Day around 1:15. One customer was there. Not very friendly bartender. No music, some cities news show was on. Cold atmosphere. Met my husband there. I ordered a bloody, nothing to write home about, but had to ask for the pickle and olive. Bartender apologized, explained she was the owner and was filling in. She said the previous bartender had been fired. I then ordered a hamburger, had to ask where it was 20 minutes later. She apologized and said a food order was being taken. (no one else in there). The food order was THE BAR ordering supplies from a guy sitting at the bar with his computer, asking how much and how many they wanted delivered. (Cook, husband and owner were in that conversation). Finally got my burger (it was good). We left. Won’t be back.
