This is a fabulous restaurant—its Italian food is incredible. The lobster, ravioli, the salmon, and the short rib were amazing. Garlic bread is a must-have. A pleasant surprise was all the wonderful art on display, so much so that it felt like an art gallery.

Rothschild’s is a classic in Corona del Mar—an Italian staple that’s been around for years, and for good reason. My wife and I went for a date night and really enjoyed the experience. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the food was delicious.

Service was friendly and fast. They actually forgot to bring out one of the dishes we ordered, but as soon as they realized it, they brought it out promptly and even removed it from the bill, which we really appreciated. That kind of professionalism goes a long way.

Parking on the street was a bit tough, but there’s valet available in the back if you’re okay with the extra cost. Overall, a great spot for a casual yet refined dinner. We had a lovely evening and look forward to coming back—next time maybe with friends!

This place was good, but the best part was towards the end of the night where they started playing really good music inside the main bar area.
We had a private party in the private room of about 15 people . The room was very beautiful, but hard to take photos because of the lighting. It was a great spot, but there were a few things that they added. It would’ve been better for example, a speaker in the private room would’ve made the vibe much better for a party. I ordered the penne pasta with the artichoke. It was very good, but it was lacking salt and also sauce. The sausage was olive oil base, but I couldn’t really taste it so I had to bring a side of the pink sauce which was unfortunately also lacking flavor.
We also had a round of espresso martinis. Everyone else looked good, but mine didn’t and it was quite bitter. I wish I would’ve tried a different drink to make a good review on that.
Great spot for a party tho if you’re sitting in the main area

Went here for date night and had the best experience! The food was amazing. We got the short rib and the caccio e pepe – so good!! The espresso martinis are fantastic and our waiter was so friendly. Not much more I could want out of a restaurant! Worth the babysitter!

Amazing staff and ambience! It definitely gives New York City steakhouse martini vibes. The espresso light was so delicious and creamy. It had the perfect balance of espresso and sweetness. The Ceaser salad was my favorite dish of the night

Rothchild in Corona Del Mar has officially earned its place as one of our family staples. The cozy, welcoming vibe makes it an easy weeknight pick—but it’s the food (and desserts!) that keep us coming back.

The kids are completely hooked on the Cacio e Pepe—perfectly creamy, peppery, and always made even better with a side of grilled chicken. I usually go for their Caesar salad—you can’t go wrong with either grilled chicken or salmon on top; both are fresh, flavorful, and just the right portion.

This time, we started with the truffle fries and garlic bread—and wow. The fries were crisp and golden with just the right hit of truffle and shaved Parm, while the garlic bread was pillowy, buttery, and loaded with flavor. Total table-pleasers.

And then… the Oreo pie. Honestly? It’s the real reason we keep coming back. Cold, creamy, chocolatey, and ridiculously good. One slice is never enough.

Shoutout to Debi, who always makes the experience next-level by custom ordering everything just how the kids (and I) like it. She’s kind, patient, and truly makes you feel at home.

Oh—and I tried a Last Word cocktail this time. Bright, herbal, and beautifully balanced. Clearly, their bar program knows what it’s doing.

Rothchild delivers every time—with flavor, warmth, and that neighborhood charm you can’t fake.

This is, overall, a great little Italian spot in CDM. Excellent menu options with great food and beverages and friendly service. The only thing hindering it is the location. It is not easy to find parking and wherever you sit, there is a great deal of street noise especially if you sit outside as your only a few feet from the PCH, we twice had fire trucks blaring sirens right next to us during our meal. Nevertheless, this won’t stop us from coming back, as the food was very good, I tried the pork milanese and it was crispy and delicious. The charcuterie was a great selection as well.

My daughter and her friends had a truly unsettling experience here.
Before arriving, we called to ask if there was seating for four. The woman who answered the phone told us that if we could arrive within 10 minutes, she could accommodate them. We got them there in under five.
When the girls entered, they spoke with the host and requested a table for four. Immediately, they felt unwelcome. He appeared annoyed by their presence and told them there was a 2 hour and 55 minute wait. They explained the phone call they had just made, and he responded that the best he could do is seat them in 1 hour and 55 minutes. His tone was condescending and aggressive enough that a nearby guest felt compelled to offer them her own reservation.
When that guest offered her reservation, he said it was for two, not four. After some back and forth, he finally agreed to seat them but said, “Here’s the kicker you have to be out of here by 8.” It was about 7:10 at the time. At that point, I told the girls to leave and we would go elsewhere.
All of the girls are in their early 20s, UC med and law students, all Asian. I have known them since they were children. They are polite, respectful, and absolutely did not deserve this treatment. I am not quick to label situations like this, but I am calling it what it was, racist and discriminatory. There is no reasonable explanation for how availability went from “come in right away” to nearly a three hour wait after he saw who they were.
The next day, I called the restaurant to give the benefit of the doubt and see if this was a misunderstanding. I asked to speak to the manager.
Frank answered and said he was the manager.
When I began calmly explaining the situation, he immediately cut me off, raised his voice, and minimized everything that happened. He claimed he offered them a table and said, “How do you know your daughter isn’t lying?” When I told him my daughter was with me and I could put her on the phone immediately, he hung up on me.
At no point did he deny the behavior my daughter described. He never claimed they were rude or disruptive. Instead, he talked over me, became hostile, and berated me on the phone. It was defensive, aggressive, and completely unprofessional behavior I would expect from a toddler having a tantrum, not someone in charge of a business.
I later learned that Frank was the host, manager, and possibly the owner, which makes this even more concerning. If this is how leadership behaves, it explains the experience entirely. He could greatly benefit from anger management and basic customer service training.
This was unacceptable on every level and just sad. The girls just wanted to have a nice Christmas celebration on their break and instead they received discriminatory treatment. Not what you would expect from a 3 dollar sign restaurant.

Old world charm meets top shelf dining here since the 1970s! Just one visit here and you will see why. Delicious, scrumptious, and romantic. Fresh pasta made daily is a side not to miss if you chose to order a meat based entree. All of our orders, cocktails and desserts were made to perfection. Hats off the chef and delightful ladies who saw everything was top knotch!

Absolutely delicious!!!
We made a last minute reservation on a Friday and we’re accommodated marvelously despite having a stroller with us.
Everything we ordered was impecable and tasty, but of favorites were the veal & ricotta meatballs, escargot (could eat just multiple orders) and the chocolate mousse. The vongole pasta and pork milanese we also spectacular.
Not only did we love the food, but the restaurant itself is beautiful, great ambiance and classic decor.
