Salvadoran-owned, the restaurant delivers authentic flavors rooted in traditional El Salvadoran cooking. It’s best known for its cheese, pork, and bean pupusa—simple, well-executed, and satisfying. We also tried the Bistec Encebollado (steak and onions), which was rich, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. Recommended.

The food was phenomenal!
The fried plantains were crispy yet gooey and perfection.
The empanadas were delicious and stuffed with a perfectly spiced medley of beef and vegetables.
My partner enjoyed the bean and cheese pupusas. The bread was nice and fluffy, but the outside was still crispy. The beans and cheese were evenly distributed.
***The beans are cooked in pork lard please make sure to check with your server if you have any dietary or religious restrictions.***
Everything was made-to-order and very fresh! A very authentic Pupuseria in the Monterey area!

They take credit cards and cash!
Can’t get more authentic than this place. Friendly staff, clean place. TV was a little annoying to me, too loud.
Ordered a couple pupusas, one pork (not much flavor) and one beans and cheese (very good). The pupusas are light and thin with the perfect amount of filling.
Also ordered fried plantains, they are served with beans and sour cream.
The horchata tasted like it was made from powder. It was also too sweet.
If you visit with a friend I suggest one of the combo plates, better value and more things to try.

I can’t believe I lived here for over a year and decided to try this place days before I move. The food is delicious. I tried four different pupusas, tamale de elote, and yuca frita. It was all amazing.

The mix they use for their revueltas pupusas is not properly balanced. It has too much refried beans in it and that’s pretty much all I tasted. The loroco con queso pupusas, tamales, yuca frita, platano empanada, pasteles, and chicharrón were delicious. The casamiento was very mushy for some strange reason. Overall, the experience was good enough for me to return but I just won’t order the items I felt were lackluster.

Can’t wait to eat here again. Precious server gave my kids free samples of the horchata because my kids only know Mexican style. The fried plantain plate has a generous portion of perfectly cooked platano maduro, and the beans were perfect. The pupusas are well filled and perfectly cooked. The chicken tamal was basically like grandma’s.

If i could give negative stars, I would. Waited 15 mins to take our order, then 45 mins later, after noticing everyone that arrived after us was getting our food, she decided to check the status of our food. Walked past us at least 10 times and not even an acknowledgment. I saw her scrambling through the tickets and then asked us what our order was.. blamed the cook for not having our ticket, said the drinks were free, and had the nerve to try to take our order again. When we told her no, she ran right back. I’m not going back.
