Had a 10 top table call ahead with no issues.

Service was amazing. We ended having three people get food poisoning from something in the three orders below:

– Mexican Burrito (No beans/jalapeños)
– Special #5 (wheat toast, fries instead of hash browns)
– Meat lovers skillet

Great environment but not happy to have to deal with that tonight. Great coffee and creamer options.

Honestly pretty decent breakfast joint and very affordable. Was visiting from Chicago and you can’t beat these prices. Got the country Benedict, chorizo Benedict and a Mexican skillet. The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. Server was friendly, I would come again.

Update: We returned a couple of times, and I had to take a star from the rating because the food is a bit hit-or-miss. I LOVE their fries, but some of the things we ordered were just kinda meh. My husband ordered an omelette, and it was so small he went home hungry. But we will still return to try other things there because of their great prices!

We are so happy to have found this place! It’s small and cozy, and everyone at my table loved their food. And let me tell you, the prices are amazing! We will be returning.

UPDATE:
Same as before, still decent. Don’t really like any of the hostesses vibes though. Food was good. Made exactly as I asked. Adding an additional picture from this visit.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Came in a few weeks ago, in September for breakfast. Service was good. Waitress was pleasantly attentive. My order was correct (Country Fried Steak). It wasn’t anything fancy, because I typically order the same thing from most places. Probably will be back eventually.

They burned my eggs black! Then when I sent them back they came to me very quickly so I knew I better check them and they were so RAW on the inside! I left hungry!!! Shouldn’t go to a restaurant and have to leave hungry! My husband and I were on a breakfast date and it was completely ruined!

Service was excellent. Quick and on time. Food was mostly good. Had breakfast and the only complaint I have is the hash brown potatoes were severely under cooked. Barley browned on one side and the rest was like mashed potatoes.
My whole wheat toast was forgotten about but was brought to the table within 5 minutes.
Was mostly good and will definitely try it again.

Been eating there many times and good food and service. Ran out of the meal we wanted but second choice was very good and priced well

The breakfast here is decent, though if you prefer crispy bacon, make sure to request it—otherwise, it comes out rushed and chewy by default. For lunch or dinner, they offer some Mexican-inspired options, which set them apart from typical cafes in the area.

That said, like many early-opening, early-closing cafes in south Mishawaka, the non-breakfast menu is just okay—nothing exceptional. Be cautious with anything from the fryers; it’s often pulled out too quickly to prioritize speed over quality. Mornings can be hit-or-miss too—they’re not always open on time, and even when they are, the fryers might still be warming up, leading to longer wait times.

The staff, though, is a highlight—friendly, polite, and always providing nice service with no complaints. In the afternoons, they pair everything with a soup of the day, which is great if you’re into that. Their selection of soup crackers is among the best around.

If your into breakfast, they are a 4, if your into soups and crackers id rate them a 5, if you want good burgers and frys id drop them to a 2 or 3.

How does a cafe get biscuits and gravy wrong? Paste. It was just wet paste for gravy. And the biscuits were like cardboard. Never again.
