Went to dinner here tonight with the guys and all I can say is… yummy, yummy in my tummy. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Chef Al even came out to check on us and make sure everything was great, which was a really nice touch and shows how much they care about their guests. The service was phenomenal!! Our servers Lauren and Azra, went above and beyond the whole night. The real star for me was the homemade tiramisu… easily one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend this place and without a doubt I’ll be back!

Fortunately, we won a gift certificate from a local town sports team fundraiser for this restaurant. Somehow, we had a kid-free night, and my wife suggested a date night, which we could use the gift certificate for. At first, the name threw me off, as I thought the establishment was more of a take-out place. We looked at the menu online and decided to give it a try. Long story short, the restaurant has been around for many years, but it has been under new ownership for the last year. The staff was excellent, and it was clear that the business was family-owned and operated, as they took pride in their service. There are approximately 12 tables, and they offer glassware for BYOB. So, bring your wine and enjoy. The food was prepared with a lot of flavor and high-quality ingredients. The staff was beneficial with suggestions for new customers. The breaded artichoke hearts, served as an appetizer, were something I don’t usually see on a menu. Honestly, I could have just had the appetizer and been full. We didn’t finish half of it, so the portions are plentiful. I hope their calamari meets the exact expectations next time. They offer numerous deals and coupons for both online and take-out orders. We will be coming back, and yes, we will bring the kids next time, as I know they will enjoy.

The good: the pizza that we ordered was decent. The service from our waiter was also very prompt and attentive (we were one of two tables at the time). Time to receive the order was also good.
The bad: holy cow, this was incredibly expensive. One large pizza, half topping, one order of 6 mozz sticks, and two sodas came to $44 with tip. That is absolutely outrageous for the amount of food we received. In addition, there is a charge to refill sodas for which we were not made aware (but you better believe it was on the bill). They were also BLASTING Italian music over the speakers. I understand piping it in for the ambiance, but a few notches lower on the volume knob will be more than adequate.
Overall, I probably will not return due to the price.

Place is cool, service is good, to the point. Pizza was ok, very sweet. A standard chicken cutlet sandwich had about 2oz of extremely thin cutlet, one slice or chicken cullet that was used for a pizza toppings, cut up spread out. Put a full chicken cutlet on the sandwich . Buffalo chicken Wrap/sandwich had Swiss slices instead of a blue cheese, really watery too. With so many pizza joints and Italian style places to eat all over, not sure about this one.

Zuppa di Pesce was phenomenal. I loved the taste of the red sauce, it had the perfect amount of spice. My sister got the Caesar salad. It was huge portion and it’s the only Caesar salad that I’ve tried and liked. I can’t wait to try more stuff on the menu!

We recently hosted our parents’ fortieth anniversary party at Pizzaman, and we could not have hoped for a better experience. Not only did Aladdin work with us to create a stellar menu for this four course meal, but the wait staff was amenable and friendly the whole time. Our server, Lauren, was particularly kind and responsive with our guests’ requests and needs. The entire staff was happy to let our party of 25 use their space for the evening, and after a few days, my siblings and I have received multiple texts from guests detailing how much they enjoyed the experience.
Our meal included two salad courses, two appetizer courses, a pasta dish, and a choice of three entrees. Appetizers included mussels and calamari, and entrees were eggplant parm, shrimp scampi, and chicken francese. All of the courses were expertly prepared and satisfying for us and our guests. Between the excellent food and the quality service, we will certainly be looking toward Pizzaman for future banquet arrangements.

Pizza Man in Pompton Plains never disappoints! The staff here are always friendly and quick with service, and they make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. I have to mention their Mango Habanero Pizza – it’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The crust was cooked just right, the sauce had great flavor, and that kick of heat at the end made it unforgettable. Definitely my new go-to spot when I’m craving something unique and delicious. Highly recommend!
