Overall we had a nice experience. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The overall restaurant is small, and we happened to go when it wasn’t busy so we didn’t have to wait. It was really cold in there. I get it because the kitchen is semi open but i had wished it was a bit warmer.

The only negative thing I really have to say is the water here is well water and you can taste it. Not a preferred choice of mine.

We ordered

Two egg breakfast with pancakes: it was a solid breakfast. Exactly what you’d expect. My boyfriend really loved the bacon.

Mushroom burger: This burger is 5/5! I really loved it. It is one of the best mushroom burgers I’ve ever had. I have nothing I would change about it. The bun was toasted well, seasoned Beautifully and the fries were cooked well. The only thing I would have changed was being served in a wire basket. It made it hard to use a fork or knife because you cut through paper. The burger got messy and I needed the utensils.

Updated: I initially posted a review about our disappointing experience at Filling Station, where the service was inattentive and the overall experience fell short of expectations. The owner reached out, promising to “take care of our next visit” to ensure a better experience and asked me to remove a specific staff member’s name from the review, which I did out of good faith. However, when I followed up to ask what specific steps they’d take to make the next visit worthwhile, their response was vague and dismissive, stating they were “handling the matter internally” and pointing to their other positive reviews, although I see a bunch of negative ones as well. This felt like a complete reversal from their initial promise, showing little genuine interest in making things right. It’s clear they’re not committed to addressing concerns in a meaningful way, so we won’t be returning. Save your time and dine elsewhere.

Original review:

Our recent visit to Filling Station was a disappointing experience, marred by poor service and subpar food quality, despite the kitchen’s attempt to salvage the situation.

The standout issue was our waitress, Maddie, a teenage server whose incompetence significantly impacted our meal. Our order—a burger and fries—was left sitting on the counter for over 10 minutes, clearly visible as she repeatedly walked past it. The counter was cluttered with orders not taken to tables or boxed up for the to go order and Maddie’s neglect was glaring. She prioritized taking phone orders and cashing out other customers over delivering our food or even boxing up another customer’s to-go order. It wasn’t until a staff member from the back noticed and brought us our now-cold fries and room-temperature burger that we received our meal. The kitchen, to their credit, quickly prepared fresh fries when we pointed out the issue, but the burger was a letdown. The bottom bun was soggy, cold, and utterly inedible, making the entire dish unappetizing.

While the kitchen’s effort to replace the fries was appreciated, the overall experience was frustrating. Maddie’s lack of awareness and poor prioritization made it clear she was overwhelmed (even though there were only two tables with two people at each table there) or she simply was not up to the task. The restaurant’s ambiance and menu had potential, but the service and food quality need serious improvement. I hope management addresses these issues, as I’d maybe give Filling Station another chance, but this visit was a miss. Not sure if we want to risk it again.

Most flavorful and amazing food!! No need for salt or pepper because they supplied all the flavor! ( I feel bad for saying yes to salt and pepper when they asked cause I hadn’t tried my food yet and didn’t even use them because the favor was so GOOD and unreal!!
We got the Lamb omelette (if you love gyros the definitely get this) and the sweet potato hash (if you love sweet potatoes this is amazing!!) They make their own jam, this jam was fantastic! I’m not typically a fan of home fries but theirs just changed my mind!! The owners were so nice and service was quick! This is a cute spot and friendly atmosphere was the perfect breakfast date! Definitely will be back and look forward to many more yummy meals!

It was quiet, clean, and the waiter was nice! The food was pretty good, and I loved that they had pineapple as a side instead of potatoes if you want. My only complaint is the well later, but it’s pretty standard issue for the area so you can’t be shocked. We will definitely be back!

Visited for the first time on a Friday around 6pm. Ordered the lamb burger, gluten-free with sautéed onions, fries, 10/10! Boyfriend had the carnivore burger, sweet potato waffle fries, and a milkshake, loved it all. Great staff. Decor style gives throwback vibes from various decades but I like the eclectic and slightly dive-y feel. The main entrance looks like a back door — could use a welcome sign there. The wait for food was long but almost every table was full. I look forward to going back and trying out some brunch options!

Stopped in for breakfast. I ordered the chicken and waffles. My wife ordered the Chicken Sausage omelette. To say this was a delicious breakfast would be an understatement. It was amazing. We will be back again very soon. Well done Filling Station!

We visited the Filling Station for our first time on a Wednesday evening and had a very good experience. We ordered the fried pickle fries which were very good, a burger and a mushroom burger. All the food was great and service was great too. It’s a small diner with a local feel. We also got delicious milk shakes to go.

I’ve now been to Filling Station for both breakfast and dinner, and I can honestly say it’s become one of my favorite casual spots in town.

For breakfast, I ordered the chicken and waffles, and wow—easily one of the best I’ve had. It’s the kind of breakfast that puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Then, on a separate visit, I came back for dinner and tried the mushroom burger. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much—mushroom burgers can be hit or miss—but this one was surprisingly good. Even as someone who usually goes straight for the classic beef options, I’d absolutely order it again.

Between the friendly staff, the laid-back atmosphere, and food that consistently exceeds expectations, Filling Station is definitely worth a visit—whether you’re starting your day or ending it. Highly recommend!

Great food! Decent Prices. This is MUCH better food than the generic chain diners in the area. They have original gourmet Food items here you can’t get anywhere else.

There is something on the menu for everyone. Cute decor and delicious food!! Homemade chips were so good along with the turkey burger. Who doesn’t love a good bogo burger for lunch 2-4. We’ll be back for sure.
