This is my go to spot for pizza, it’s brick oven, hand made, and the staff seem to really care about making you a pie that is art. Their meat lovers and jamming pig are my top 2, it’s a cozy spot that I bring my girlfriend to, or guests when their in town. If you drink, the head barmaid makes seasonal cocktail specials, as well as chef Charlie in the back, cranking out his weekly ones, while thinking of next weeks. Tune’s in hear are a mix of things, usually a calmer older crowd. If you want a relaxing, out of the way place to go, look no further.

If you haven’t tried the pizza at Lloyd’s Bar and Grill, you are seriously missing out. It is absolute on fire. The crust has that perfect crisp, and the toppings are definitely fresh and loaded. It’s easily some of the best pizza in the area, and served in a great laid back atmosphere. Pair it with a cold beer and you’re set.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere.
According to some of the reviews, the pizza is a real favorite on the food menu. However, I ordered the perch basket and my friend ordered the cod. My friend gave me a piece of cod to try and it was excellent. In fact, it was some of the best fish I’ve ever had. It was just so meaty. Definitely worth coming back for.
As for an appetizer, we ordered the nachos. They put a lot of meat on them, which I liked. With that said, they were very filling.
Our waitress was very friendly also. Attentive too.
The atmosphere was neat. While technically a bar, their is kind of a restaurant feel to it. It seems like kind of an older place but definitely does not feel like a dive bar.
Overall, everything about this place was pretty good. But the cod was the x factor that would keep me coming back

The last two times I went to Lloyd’s for carryout, the very young women (maybe high school students) taking my order didn’t seem to understand when I ordered the Michigan cherry salad stating “and I want the chicken on the side”. So the salad came with The hot chicken already on the cold salad. This time I asked that the salad needed to be remade and the young woman who took my order at the cash register, went back to the kitchen and remade the salad. Once I got home with the salad, I opened it only to find there was a very small amount of the candied walnuts, blue cheese, and cherries on the salad. My wife and I have had the Michigan cherry salad many times when we dined in. There was always an ample amount of toppings on the salad. We definitely got ripped off today paying $25 for a salad that was 90% lettuce. Very disappointed!

We had the lake perch and it was perfect. The waitress was Mary Kay and she was absolutely amazing. This is our new favorite place for lake perch.

Do not get the Perch fish. When it says you get 6 fish on the menu, that is all you get. 6 extremely tiny little overcooked dry fish. It was horrible. My friend got the same thing and at least all 6 of his were half decent size, but still hard as a rock overcooked fish. I never complain about things but this was terrible, so the server had the cook make 3 more to compensate. That was nice of them until they said they put more than 6 on my plate to begin with. Ummmmm big NO they didn’t!? It’s bad enough for trying to short you on the high priced food, but to say this also? Like NO WAY. Maybe the other food here is decent, but never, I mean never get the perch. Otherwise the restaurant was clean and decent.

In August 2021, we went back for our pizza. We decided to try Chicago Pizza and I DO NOT recommend it if you are used to traditional Chicago pizza. It is not what you think…just a warning to prevent disappointment and we will always come back to get our normal pizza that we like. Enjoy!

I’ve been there 4 times in less than two weeks. I love the atmosphere, updated and modern since the long renovation. The menu has a nice variety for burgers, salad, dinner and pizza. I like the music in the background and it gives me a relaxed feeling.
I’m glad that they have a wood burning oven and we have this option right here on our island!!! We don’t have to leave the island just for a wood burning pizza!!!
The food overall has a been great and there is room for improvement here and there.
