Great little drive-in spot. The prices were very reasonable and the variety was excellent. We got the deluxe bacon double cheeseburger which was very tasty and large, and the Philly cheesesteak which was also good. The chicken sandwich was just okay. The fries and curly fries were both crispy and had good flavor. For drinks, we got the homemade root beer and root beer float. Both were lacking a bit on the root beer flavor but the soft serve was good. The service was quick, and helpful. Overall, a fun little drive-in spot if you want a tasty well-priced meal.

Wow! This place is Adorable with great service y’all! I had to take so many photos to appreciate the great job they did on their 50’s style decor. So cute!
The owner and his wife were si friendly and accommodating with us newbies to their restaurant. And they bring ypur food to your table or out to your car at one of the drive up spots which is a cool 50’s style feature that a lot of folks enjoy.
Their Ice Cream was Fabulously Yummy y’all! So many flavors! I got a one scoop waffle cone that was Huge! lol.
Now the sandwiches were good, I had the pulled pork which was Delicious!, but was also the smallest one I’ve ever had as they don’t put much meat on it at all.. unfortunately I didn’t even have a full bite if meat with every bite, it was mostly bun.. usually a sandwich like this is gunna be Packed with the meat and over flowing, this was underflowing, sad to say, as it was sooo good! ♀️
I got a side of these deep fried pickle spears that they serve in a frie package, so cute, very yummy, but wayy too salty so I was unable to eat more than just a few and had to chuck the rest.
My son got a hot dog that was a huge, Chicago style dog and he loved it!
Our friend got the chicken strips which were a great size and he said they were Delicious! The onion rings we some of the Best we had ever tasted! Not too salty and the onion almost melted in my mouth as it was cooked so perfectly! lol.
And Omgosh y’all, they have this Homemade Rootbeer that was thee Best tasting ever! lol. A Must to try here!
One last thing I have to add here, unfortunately because I really like this place and hoping this will be fixed soon as the owner said it would be, but their air conditioning was out and it was one of these Swealtering, heat advisory days so that definitely hampered the experience for me as I was sweating onto the seat and was ready to go sooner than Id hoped to be because it just got too uncomfortable after a while. The Ice Cream Did help though for sure y’all! Try this place out, I dont think you’ll regret it! Yumm!

Jay’s Drive-In is a gem in Oregon, Illinois. I recently had the Chicago-style hot dog, and it was fantastic. The flavors were spot-on, with all the traditional toppings you’d expect, perfectly balanced and delicious.
Their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches are also top-notch, packed with tender, flavorful meat and just the right amount of cheese and veggies.
The atmosphere at Jay’s is great, with a classic drive-in vibe that adds to the overall experience.
The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your visit is enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you’re craving a classic hot dog or a hearty cheesesteak, Jay’s Drive-In is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Been coming here since childhood, my grandfather introduced me to this place when I was little. Every bite and sip reminds me of all the times I’ve been here with my family through the years. The food is amazing, the service is great, and it’s always a pleasure to come back here with new friends and family. Highly recommend the cheese curds and root beer. 10 out of 10!

We went to Jay’s Drive-in tonight and were very disappointed in the food and service. When we got there it didn’t appear to be that busy, but we had to wait about 5 minutes from when we pushed the button to order and when they actually took our order. From when we ordered and when we received our food it was 1 hour. After waiting about 45 minutes I repushed the button to ask what was going on with our order however they never responded to that so I called on the phone and after waiting 15 minutes on hold I asked what was going on with our order to which she said it just came up and she was on the way out with it. She finally came out with our order which totaled just a few cents shy of $25 I asked if it was normal to take an hour to get you order and she said it was because they had 2 new cooks they were training. When we opened our food every single bit of it was ice cold so it had been obviously sitting on a counter for who knows how long. Most of the food went straight in the trash. I would have given this place 1 star but we ate there a couple years ago and it was much better then so I know they are capable of better. The parking was plentiful and convenient to get into but it is my suggestion if they take a long time to take your order go elsewhere.

The girls are always very customer friendly. Food is good. They still do the order at the car with the speaker and they’ll bring it out. 50s 60s atmosphere. Fun deco. Even got a juke box. (Not sure if it works) Blue Moon is MY FAVORITE!!!

This is a real old-fashioned drive up diner. I can’t wait to go back to try more menu items. The chicken wrap filled with crispy honey chicken and an amazing sauce, chocolate shake, and onion rings were fantastic!

Made a 60 mile round trip for their pulled pork sandwich. They were out. Chose a tenderloin instead. They were out. Left and won’t be making the trip again. It was Labor Day weekend, and they said they’d been “slammed”. Yeah, who’d have thought a Drive-In would be busy on the last weekend of summer? We generally come here several times every summer, but it just fell off the list. Don’t bother.

Oh man food was good, Got am almost comically large pork tenderloin sandwich and made the mistake of also ordering a burger. If I’m I’d have known how big the pork tenderloin sandwich was, I wouldn’t have had a burger I took like 2 bites out of – though both were fantastic. The real star of the show though – they make their own root beer. I’m a root beer fanatic and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had, wish they actually bottled it up. We were camping at Lowden Miller and caught it in the way in, I actually came back and got a root beer float on the way out.

This is such a fun, nostalgic place that is great for everyone of all ages. Dine in or pull up outside and experience the car hops. The food is great and the ice cream and root beer is phenomenal. Afterwards, walk it all off by the nearby Rock River. Stop by and try it, I promise you will want to go back.
