Drove 3.5 hours one way to come check out this restaurant today and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, passionate and speedy! I know the tacos were a special item today but I would 100% drive back for these tacos again.
The bestie fries are world class, share them with a friend or don’t they’re that good. If you’re looking for a quick bite and friendly atmosphere 10/10 recommend. I know I will be back.

Friendly staff, quick service, and fun location. A pleasant local restaurant with some good hot dogs, delicious gyros, and die-for fries. Their gyro meat is melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. The fries are hot, delightfully crispy, and addictive. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful place. Staff is friendly. Always very clean. This is my fifth or sixth visit. His twist on hot dogs is spot on. Wife says the gyros are delicious. The Helping size on the fries is quite generous. Highly recommend this place. The pictures were taken after half the food was eaten.

But seriously – Frankz offers a good representation from the popular tenets of the hot dog universe, from your classic chili dog to Chicago style. They also offer a salads, gyros and other foods. Their fries are ridiculously good, if not dangerously addictive. You have been warned!
Their beer selection is smaller but also impressive, including your standard taps to local micros.
Service is extremely fast, and their staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Lastly, prices are very affordable! If you’re coming from the beach, or looking for a quick bite in town – check them out!

Loved the dogs and fries! Went as a group. I loved the works dog…and those betsie fries are as amazing as they are described. We did not care for the dogs with natural casings. The chicago dog wasn’t quite right either. Nonetheless we had a good meal and there’s beer! You order at the counter and they call your number.

WoW is all I can say, we were welcomed immediately. Plenty of seating available. Joey the owner went out of his way to greet us and introduce himself. We ordered gyro, hotdogs, fries they were all spot on. The fries are a crispy coated potato fried to perfection. The Chili is a unique homemade chili I have never had anything like it before. If ever in the area agian I will diffently be back.

Visited on a spring Friday night and had a great experience. Hot dogs were great and the gyro egg rolls were excellent too! Service was wonderful as well, the woman taking our orders was cheery and helpful and the owner (Frank himself maybe?!) brought us a free salsa/pico he makes homemade to try. Great experience and we will be back. My dad plans to try the “natural casing” on the hotdogs next time to get that signature pop of a quality hot dog, it’s a $1 upcharge.

Summer Friday afternoon. Place was slammed. Long line, indecisive customers asking annoying questions. Guy at the cash register was kind & patient with every customer. I’m ordering some to-go food for my family of 4. Enjoyed a beer at the bar while waiting for my food to be prepared. All the employees were hustling and nice. They made one too many orders of chili cheese fries on accident and gave it to me because I was sitting there. The food was good. The vibes were great. Will be back!

The french fries are “the best in northern Michigan”, as the owner puts it! My sandwich was tasty and served fast. The remodel looks fantastic as well, I’ll be sure to be back!

We were looking for a quick bite in late afternoon (after many places had closed at 3) as we still had more to do. Employees and proprietors of every shop around recommended Frankz. Our group chose items across the board, from staples to specials. The owner himself took our order and provided several hints and suggestions. Everything we got tasted fantastic. Everyone working there was helpful and friendly.
