As someone who grew up near Philly, this is the best cheesesteak I’ve had in LA.

Comes with mushroom and onions, which is a must. The bread was pillowy and soft, and while some prefer a crunchy toasted cheesesteak, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not overly greasy, clean beef cuts, and the it was THE RIGHT CHEESE. I also got the garlic fries which were great.

Definitely get a cheesesteak here to satisfy the craving.

I got a cheesecake with provolone and onions and I hate to break it to you folks but there is no such thing as a Philly cheesesteak outside of Philly. I’m a Philly native and this isn’t even close. I tried this place based on the misleading reviews, I’m so sad. it’s not seasoned. There’s more onions than meat and overall just a very bland meat sandwich. Put that $16 toward your travel to Philly for a real cheesesteak

I now understand why they have been there 25 years.. Seriously, it’s the best philly cheesesteak in california so far. I ordered to go. The food didn’t even make it a block away. The smell was just too good. My wife and I pulled over so fast. She has the pasta. She said the meatballs and the sauce was perfected. And the noodles weren’t mush. They were al dente. But back to the cheesesteak, no cheese wiz. Just provolone. Literally, they perfected it. I take my cheesesteak game seriously and I was concerned about this place. RUN to Victor Jr’s. Don’t walk. Also, Daniel is awesome. We will be back. We will be regulars. I’ll be getting 2 cheesesteaks for myself next time. It’s seriously that delicious.

Working in the area, everyone has suggested that I try this place out. They said the pizza was great, but I was more peckish for a solid cheese steak sandwich. Overall, the sandwich was okay. The bread was over-toasted, and the roof of my mouth is now raw from the crunchy bread. The meat in it wasn’t what I was expecting. It was thick chunks/nuggets with about one third of the chunks being mostly gristle. The meat itself was rather bland, and the only flavor that really added to the sandwich was all the toppings. I got it with everything (mushrooms, onions, peppers, cheese, mayo) but probably should have asked for extra mayo. The portion size was good, and the price was decent. Service was fairly quick, and all of the staff were nice and communicative. I’ll go back and try the pizza one day.

For the second year in a row, Victor Jr’s Italian Restaurant brought comforting, crowd-pleasing flavors to our elementary school’s International Passport Night.

After a few back-and-forths on potential options, Chet and I settled on a selection of spaghetti with marinara, baked ziti, and two trays of mouthwatering meatballs. The portions were spot on, and the quality was outstanding.

You should have seen the students’ eyes light up when saw the pasta options — it was easily one of the most popular items we served. The pasta was cheesy, saucy, and the meatballs on the side were a perfect compliment.

A huge thank you to Chet for his flexibility and support in making this event a special one for our community. Thank you Victor Jr’s!

There are several items on the menu that I consider ” best in L.A.”. Italian Sub. Italian Dip Sandwich. Garlic Fries. Lasagne. Philly Cheese Steak. White Pizza. I have been eating here for over 20 years and am never disappointed.

The lasagna is very small and barely has any meat. They try to hide that by adding a lot of tomato sauce.

Oh my my my! Some of the best tasting pizza around Culver City. Their X-Large would feed a huge family or a gathering because each slice is like two huge pieces put together. The topping are fresh every time. I like the Victor Jr. Deluxe which has veggies and meat, the best of both worlds. Their homemade tiramisu is also really good! We love this place when we’re craving pizza, hits the spot every time!

You can’t go wrong with pizza from Victor J. Pizza always fresh, full of flavor with a crust that has just the right amount of chewiness. I also ordered the chopped salad and the dressing is fantastic with a slight tanginess, of course on top of freshly chopped ingredients.

This bizarre little spot somehow chose to serve the classic Italian American ‘family’ menu (thing pizzas, meatball, and spaghetti ) with the addition of a full menu of Philly steak sandwiches. The interior, which is stools on the bar counter seating only, is teaming with old east coast Italian eateries from the 50’s and vintage Hollywood pics, (it’s across the street from Sony after all) and there are a handful of tables outside. The pizza slices are massive and evoke that old east coast profile – thin crust, sweet sauce, and gobs of cheese. The Philly cheese steak gets high marks for the damn near perfect bread it’s served on; light, fresh, and toasted to perfection. The steak is more like a carne asada preparation, and the onions , while sautéed, are oddly diced, and seem to add to the “this sandwich is falling apart in my hands” feeling. The whole joint feels like it was ripped out of the suburbs of Pennsylvania circa 1985. And for that alone, it’s charming.
