At our Euless, TX location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I was extremely impressed with this place today. I placed my order in the drive-thru for a Giant Fish Combo. The associate who took my order and greeted me at the window was very helpful, even suggested sauces which I would’ve never known about if he didn’t bring it up The food was so so fresh and great tasting. I live in North Arlington but plan on driving up the road to frequent this location more often.

I used to eat here during my childhood in late 80s/early 90s and it hasn’t changed much. This place is like an old school Long John Slivers with similar batter and crispes come with your fish order. The difference is LJS will make me violently vomit and has done this to me in the last 15 years, so they changed their recipe while Captain Ds has pretty much remained the same. The manager or supervisor at the register was polite and checked to see if I needed additional condiments and refills. They also have a great special that I picked out. 2 pieces of fish, fries, and 2 hushpuppies for $5.99 is a deal!

Food is so good and service is amazing. Great atmosphere super clean and friendly. Manager is a great guy his name is Monty and he’s awesome.
Def worth checking the spot out. The tartar sauce is really good too.

Captain D’s grand opening was actually today July 1, 2024. I couldn’t believe it , but I was soooo happy. I’ve been driving by every so often, to see if they open up yet. Every-time they was closed still . This time I got to see my eyes glow. My husband asked me where did I want to go eat. I was like idk really . Let’s see if the Captain D’s open yet! I actually drove there, and seen the flags and the sign saying open. I was so happy . We ordered the spicy fish and shrimp and it was delicious. I had mac and cheese with fries very good. My husband had his two sides okra , Mac and cheese very delicious . Everyone was nice and friendly. We were greeted outside the door . The nice gentleman held the door open for us. The GM gave us a nice welcome, and the rest of the crew as well. Nice and clean atmosphere. With fresh delicious food. Looking forward to coming back again soon! Y’all rock ! Keep up the good work. We also ordered the cheese cakes one Oreo and one strawberry. We actually ate inside and enjoyed our meals.

If you haven’t been to Captain D’s in awhile, check it out. Much improved – miles better than LJS. This is one of the best values you can find.
Their grilled salmon is actually pretty good, AND cheap – probably the most healthy drive thru meal in DFW. Chicken strips are some of the best I’ve tried.

Brand new restaurant. We ordered the Family Sampler that comes with Fried Fish, Fried Shrimp, Chicken Tenders, Hush Puppies, and 2 Sides. We also got a gallon of Sweet Tea. My kids loved the food and tea. I thought it was good too. Lots of food in the sampler.

For fast food it takes too damn long I waited 33 mins. The lobster bisque tastes old. Not a fan of the batter for the fish or shrimp either. I won’t be back sorry it’s not my liking.

I’ve been awaiting the opening of this location since February and it finally opened a little while back. I was excited to have another option other than Long John Silver’s but unfortunately there still isn’t one.
The location is a brand new building so it’s very clean, but it is also very small only having about 6 tables. It was also very cool inside as they have plenty of air vents in the lobby.
The prices were kind of high for the amount of food received. The fish fillets look like large fish sticks, the chicken strips were even smaller than the fish being only about 3″ long. The meals we ordered didn’t come with drinks either so that was another $3 per drink.
Overall I was disappointed with the food, serving sizes, and prices. I will probably not be revisiting again and instead just stick to the competition unfortunately.

I came in during lunch rush hour and it was a bit busy. The dining is very limited but they make up for the service and the quality of the food was really good. I know they just opened and this is like their 4th day but I hope they can keep it consistent with the food. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo( see pic). It was really good. I especially have to give a shout-out to Ellie, or Elly, the lady who helped me pick my food. I contemplated between the catfish combo or the fish & shrimp combo. I already tried the catfish before so she recommended the fish and shrimp combo. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.. the fish was great. It had a good taste and crunch to perfection. Green beens and hush puppies were also good. And the corn on the cob was tasty and a little sweet just enough to make it delightful… Ellie or Elly was great with the service. She even remember to give me back my change when they ran out of bills. She even brought it out to me while I was eating, I didn’t have to go back to the counter and ask for it. Ellie or Elly should be promoted to Manager if not already or in some type of leadership role. She is great with the service and her energy is very friendly and respectful… I ate almost all my food. I was too full ( see pic). I hardly ever say this but I recommend this place because of Ellie or Elly and the quality of food!!!!!! Thank you Ellie or Elly!!!!!!

Lovely! I’ve been waiting for this to open near my area! Now it finally opened this July! And it was a week after it opened when I went. I heard of this place because, well, a video. It was my first time getting to eat there! ^w^
It’s a shame how some of the one-star reviews are due to the fact that this place wasn’t opened yet despite that they said they’d open when they didn’t, but I don’t blame them for not finishing on time. I know how that feels.
Sure, it may be pretty pricey, but I suppose it’s worth it to have those things, especially with how many different things I got to have in one meal. I especially liked the funnel cake sticks, too! ^///^
(Oh, and in the photo, it shows stuffed crabs, fried fish, fried shrimp, french fries, coleslaw, funnel cake sticks, and my drink)
