I stopped for a burger at lunch. Good food and friendly place that seems like it would be a lot of fun for drinks.

This is a place in a very small town that you would drive by if you weren’t specifically looking for it. I did drive by it even when I was looking for it. However, once we were inside, the ppl were nice and the food great. We got the double bacon cheeseburger, the monthly special jalapeno popper burger, regular cheeseburger and daily special 3 pounds of wings. I highly recommend this place for an easy, laid-back great food place with pretty good prices. The wings were whole wings, very crispy and excellent. The tator tots and fries were perfectly cooked being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The burgers are 1/3 pound and cooked very well. They were tender and juicy and the bacon thick cut. Highly recommend this place for good food, good prices, and good ppl.

We were there on a Saturday evening for dinner. Half a rack of ribs, baked potato and a salad. Very reasonably priced, fall off the bone meat and whatever they use for BBQ sauce was really good. Service was a little slow, but not outrageous, they were busy.

Great ham and cheese sandwich, but watch out for the double bacon burger. It is not listed as spicy and it has some extreme heat. My husband could only eat half of since his mouth was on fire. We also had one in our group of four whose chicken sandwich finally came much later than the rest of us. It was a busy night and right near the end of the rush. Our waitress apologized and did try to make it right. All and all I would stop in again. I think it was just an off evening. We actually were going to visit for breakfast the next day but their posted hours for Sunday are not correct. They list they are open at 8:00am. We stopped at 8:30 and they were not open.

Nice little bar and grill off the beaten path. Good pizza. Good drinks. Great ending to a day of hunting, fishing, hiking, or whatever. Service was great.

Something is very shady when the bill comes and in large print is the amount if paid by credit card, and in small print is the cash price. How many people who pay by cash even read the small print? Besides that, the price charged for credit card is higher than the charge the business pays the card companies. Won’t be back !

Disappointed by the service. Took way too long especially with kids. One person in our party didn’t get his food until others finished theirs. Couldn’t get a drink refill and tried for all you can eat fish but only could get one order. After being there 2 hours we gave in and left. Will not be back. Definitely seems like you only get good service if you’re a local. Too bad. The food was good except the garlic Parmesan wings. They were expensive and so salty we couldn’t even eat them.

Arrived at 5:30 pm for supper. Interacted with waitress at 6 for waters and menu. 6:30 ordered food that arrived at 7:25 had a variety of missing items with orders. Worst restaurant wait time I’ve ever experienced. 2-1/2 hours to get a meal until we were done. We won’t be back.

We ate dinner at Melby Outpost on Friday, June 27th. The food was good, and the service was excellent. When we approached the bar area to pay our bill, we presented a $25.00 Alexandria Big Deals Melby Outpost certificate (purchased April 14, 2025) plus cash for the remainder of the bill. We were promptly advised that the owner no longer accepts the Melby Outpost certificates. We proceeded to pay the bill using cash only and requested that the owner contact us. After a few days passed with no call from the owner, we reached out to the Outpost again and were able to speak with the owner. She confirmed that she had recently stopped accepting the Melby Outpost certificates. When asked if she had posted a notice (Echo Press, website, Facebook page, other social media, etc.) regarding this, she said she had not. When we mentioned that we felt the public should have been aware that this change would be upcoming and that we were not pleased that we had, in essence, been required to pay for a portion of our meal twice, she began raising her voice and subsequently disconnected the call. While the experience itself was disappointing, the owner’s subsequent actions were even more disappointing. Fortunately, KXRA radio responded to the issue in a very professional way and credited our account for the money we had lost. We thought that diners should be aware of this as they make their decisions on where to spend their hard-earned dining dollars.
