Saw your FB feed this morning talking about the beautiful weather opening the patio up for use today. Hound dog & I decided to make it there. Ate simple… just an Earl Campbell Hot Link plate with beans, potato salad, & strawberry cake. Hot Link was great as always… great spice. Beans were fantastic… something simple… so delicious! Potato salad was awesome… something about it was very special… maybe pickle juice?

Just moved to Chandler and tried Big Rips & I’m not disappointed at all! The customer service was phenomenal! Everyone was upbeat and excited to serve. Wife and I shared the TKO potato and the kiddos shared the loaded nachos. You know its good when the kids eat until they almost pass out Highly recommend this place and will be coming here often. I’ll probably end up getting very fat from eating here so much. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Both of us had the Ms. Rip. I had chopped, husband had sliced. Very generous portions of meat and some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Took home buttermilk pie and banana pudding. Both of which were homemade. Banana pudding is the best I’ve had since my Daddy’s homemade. So full haven’t eaten my pie yet, but Im sure it’s just as good. Covered Outdoor seating with TV. Highly recommend and would do a repeat!!.

Purchased the loaded nachos and smoked turkey leg. The turkey leg stole the show. It was honestly the best turkey leg I’ve ever had. It was so tender and juicy that it felt like it was literally melting in my mouth. And the complimentary spicy pinto beans offered makes it a perfect duo.

On Saturday, we ordered brisket, pork rib, coleslaw, and loaded potato to go. However, when we returned to the hotel, we discovered that we had only received brisket, pork rib, and coleslaw.
We called to request a refund for the missing loaded potato. The response was that we could either return in person today or tomorrow (Sunday). Later, we learned that the restaurant only operates from Wednesday to Saturday. Despite this, the server had assured us that we could return on Sunday, which is not their operating day.
When I called the restaurant again to inquire about the refund, we were told that how we can get an refund on non working day. We got an answer that it was “your business.”
This experience was highly unprofessional and unreliable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is not from the area, as it seems that they are indifferent to the missing order and even more so to customers who do not return.
Food was okay.

Don’t let the tiny building fool you. Rips is packed with flavor. The staff is bend-over-backward friendly and helpful and the owner is just an amazing fellow. Granted anything you get will be full of flavor but we love their tacos and loaded nachos the best. They are PACKED full of both flavor and meat. The beans and sides are always hot and free too!
The family that owns Rips BBQ are amazing!! You can’t find better people.

I haven’t been there for a while so I was looking forward to some great ribs. I got a slab. Got home. They forgot my BBQ Sauce #1. #2 was that I have had moisture Beef Jerky than my ribs so I really missed the BBQ Sauce. I got there at 4pm so maybe I got what was left over from the lunch menu. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I won’t be going back. Something has changed and not for the better.
