OMG! I am only here for a couple of days, visiting family. When I come back this will be a regular stop! The chili is amazing. Coney with cheese is where it is at! All those things were great, BUT THE FRIES ARE AMAZING! I got chili cheese fries and they were to die for! I am going to keep bugging them for t-shirts. The place has been around since 1936! I am so glad I could enjoy this slice of heaven! Fantastic service! They accept debit cards. 3 bucks for a coney, and 350 with cheese. 7 for the chili cheese fries, but trust me you will not be disappointed. Hand cut cottage fries! Simply the best. I will dream of those fries until I come back! Strong work, I will see you again!

Somebody save Walts from the new owner! After going to walts for over 40 years I can say today was the only bad experience I’ve had. There were only 2 other tables filled and we waited over 5 minutes to order, then got our fries, with greasy chili and after almost finishing the fries I had to go ask about the one hotdog we ordered and were told she didn’t know we ordered it. Now we have the hotdog, and still do not have the 2 milk shakes we ordered. Meanwhile the other table ordered chili cheese fries and didn’t get cheese on them. The server didn’t seem friendly or know what she was doing. It’s so sad to see walts almost empty in the middle of a Saturday! New owner isn’t doing the legacy of Walts any good

Trips to walts have been in my family for 40+ years. It may be the smallest place you’ve ever eaten but it had giant heart. The restaurant is under new ownership but the feelings haven’t changed. The new owners have gone above and beyond in many ways since owning it. If you like coney’s dogs its a must visit.

Watched the review on them by the Coney Bros on Youtube. An absolute great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Been around since 1936 so they have to be doing something right!! The chili cheese fries are to die for and have been craving them since I had them lol. Cash only and they do have a drive through. Not a ton of parking but it’s so worth it will be back soon.

Owner was working the kitchen so you know he cares about his product. I ordered chili cheese fries & my buddy ordered cottage fries not knowing that that’s all they have for fries. My fries came out first & they were huge. I said, “We could have shared.”. They owner said, “Would you guys like to?” & then let his worker take the extra fries on her lunch & didn’t charge us. Very cool. Chili cheese dog, although an Ohio thing, was delicious. Be sure to sign the wall your first time there!

We tried this restaurant for the first time and I’m obsessed! The owners are so nice and welcoming – it honestly felt like I’d been going there forever. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is charming, I love everything about this place and I can’t wait to come back!

Generous portions of classic American fare. The place was packed when we entered but were served as though we were the only customers. The walls are covered with history and customers’ signatures. Fries are outstanding, chip-shaped. We tried coney dogs, chili, fries, onion rings, grilled cheese, shakes and malts. Chili cheese fries are the best of both worlds. Stopped by after visiting the Pontiac Transportation Museum.
