I had a great experience at Checkers on February 26, 2026 at the Mercerville, New Jersey location. I want to recognize Jimmy, the District Manager, for his excellent customer service. From the moment he engaged with me, it was clear that he genuinely cares about both the customer eperience and the team he leads there.
Jimmy was professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly. I knew almost immediately he was in some management position because of his quality service. His positive attitude clearly sets the tone for the entire location.
If you are in the area, want good food and want a good experience, come see Jimmy at this Checker’s location.

I got the big buford combo with fries and a drink. Service + ordering + receiving food at window was quick, prompt, polite. This was my first time trying Checkers and the food was great! The fries are LITERALLY Popeyes chicken style fries but actually HOT and crispy! The burger was very neat and delicious. Cost of the entire meal was actually very cheap for usual fast food these days @ total cost of: $12.42. Can’t wait to get it again!

He was being very detailed about everything about the restaurant, you can tell he really knows his job well, and all with a very kind welcoming attitude. Compared to before, the service here has become exponentially better! The cashier was very nice (kudos to the Indian? cashier) and getting the actual food was faster than ever. Truly encompassing the embodiment of “fast food.”
Food has always been excellent time and time again and never misses! There are no seats inside so you can’t “dine in” but there are seats outside. And i think it’s pretty encouraging to enjoy nature while eating!

Had an issue with receiving my order a few days ago, spoke with the manager Zabrina and she was very understanding as well as helpful with everything. They fixed the issue and replaced my order. I’m very thankful to Zabrina for her professionalism, the crew of Pablo and Dimecia made me some of the freshest food I’ve ever had at this location and I’m appreciative of that.

My recent visit the chicken tenders were rock hard and cold. the hot dog looked like it was rancid and discolored. Fries and burger were cold. A completely inedible meal and utterly upset and frustrated with my experience at this restaurant. When I called they told me all the food was made fresh, but if that’s the case they need to re-evaluate the way they run their restaurant. The person on the phone argued with me and said the chicken was fresh, while I was knocking the chicken strips against the table so they could hear how hard and inedible they were.
Do not recommend this restaurant. They are consistently bad at their job and serve terrible quality food.

Full disclosure: Checkers reached out and offered to replace my messed up meal and I’ve also paid for a meal myself now as well.
They’ve improved their service greatly since my first experience. The food was fresh and hot and the service was quick and friendly. I can’t say they won’t slip up again, but its clear they’re trying to improve their service.
Not sure if it’s under new management or what, but I would say it’s worth a shot if you’re in the area and hungry.
They still needed to cleanup the place a bit (still looked like they’re partly under construction my last visit) but they’re on the rigth path.
Old review: The restaurant is open but you can barely tell from outside with all the construction and the face that the front room of the restaurant was filled with garbage bags when I stopped by, not a good look. I ordered in the drive through and the girl on the headset was friendly, but they didn’t put my sauces in the bag, the food was all cold by the time I got it, and they put my fries in the bag upside down so they dumped all over inside the bag. It was later when I ordered, but this shouldn’t mean this kind of terrible service. They need to get their act together if they want future business.

Always a pleasure and great experience coming to this location. The staff is friendly, kind, professional and helpful especially Zabrina, Zabrina carries herself as if she is part of management. Her service always comes with a smile and always double checks with me to accommodate any changes and/or to make sure I have everything that I ordered. She is the main reason I love going to this location. She makes every experience a funny and happy one !!! She should, if not already be part of management. She is young and eager and can be a great asset to your franchise. She has great customer service and communication skills !!!
