An homage to the variety in Italian food with a focus on wood fired pizza… Josephine is the latest concept from James Beard nominated Chef Michael Scelfo of smash hits Alden & Harlow, Waypoint, and The Longfellow Bar. Josephine is a celebration of family and food, focused on Italian favorites and simple pleasures. Josephine features deep dish & thin wood fired pizzas and whimsical riffs on classic Italian foods, all set in a lively space. A massive marble bar with craft cocktails, ice cold martinis on tap, and a huge out door space that’s dog friendly with an outdoor bar and fire pit will bring you back again and again.

10/10 overall
If you’re searching for the best Chicago-style pizza outside of Chicago—stop. Josephine nails it. The deep-dish is unapologetically cheesy, rich, and indulgent, yet somehow still perfectly balanced. Each bite is gooey heaven.
I couldn’t get enough of the chicken parm—crispy, tender, generously portioned, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Comfort food in its finest form.
And let’s talk about cocktails. The milk punch? I still dream about it. Silky, boozy, with layers of flavor—one glass is never enough.
Then came the torched rice pudding. Creamy vanilla base, almond notes, and that brûlée-style crunchy top? WOW. Every spoonful is textural bliss.
I’ve been to Longfellow Bar, Alden & Harlow, Waypoint, and now Josephine—everything under Chef Mike’s vision has been on point. The cocktail program across the board is top-tier, and the food is consistently excellent.
Also, huge props to Isaac, the Director of Operations—you can feel the care, detail, and warmth in every part of the guest experience. Service? (Henry was our server) Impeccable. Staff? Knowledgeable and kind.
Josephine is more than a pizza place—it’s a love letter to bold flavors and hospitality done right.
Very average tiramisu, so was pizza and the spaghetti. They have tried to put a twist to original flavours, however, it’s very average.
Not ideal if you are going with a baby. The music and noise is very prominent.
Parking is difficult to find.
The food itself was good, not great, with standard Camberville pricing. The menu really boiled down to slightly dressed up pizza and pasta.
I went on a weekday night as a party of 10 and appreciate they were able to sit & serve all of us.
