I cannot even begin to put into words and properly articulate how disappointed I am with what just transpired while we were at Hutch’s for Steak Night!! Before I get into what just happened, let me start by saying that we are regulars at this establishment… We are there all the time… for wing night, steak night, etc. and not to mention that is our go to, to celebrate birthdays and we always bring any company or family that comes to visit from out of town to eat there. We all ordered the steak dinners and the steaks came out and were ice cold. When the waitress came back over to check on us, we let her know that the steaks were ice cold and asked if they could please throw them back on to heat them up. When she brought them back to us, both steaks were still cold. My steak tasted like burnt grill (I could not even taste the actual steak) It tasted, honestly, like I was chewing on charcoal. When the waitress came back and asked if everything was OK, I let her know that unfortunately, the steaks are still cold and my steak now tastes like burnt grill or charcoal almost. She said she could ask them to please remake the steaks for us and I said thank you… That would be great. Not two minutes later a short older lady comes out of the kitchen and literally does not say anything to us…(my stepmom was literally in the middle of taking a bite of her baked potato off of her plate) she reaches across the table, grabs both my plate and my stepmom‘s plate and tells us to have a good night to leave! My jaw absolutely hit the floor! I honestly did not understand what was happening right now and I literally asked her what is happening right now??!! As a family that frequent this restaurant.. I could not even comprehend what was actually happening! That we were getting thrown out of our favorite local go to spot, all because our steaks came out cold and we asked them to heat them up a little bit, and when we got them back the second time they were still cold. My dad went up by the register, and when the owner came out and said that “we were being rude, and there was no pleasing us.” (Which definitely was not the case). At no point did either of us raise our voice, use any kind of profanity or be disrespectful in any way! We simply asked to have our steaks heated up and when we got them back and mine tasted awful, I asked if they could remake another steak for me. To get thrown out of a restaurant and have them come snatch your plate out from in front of you (while you’re still eating the rest of your food) was just so unnecessary and not OK!!! Up until tonight, all I have ever done is rave and tell everybody how wonderful Hutch’s is! Needless to say we will not be back!! Very disappointing to say the very least!!

That’s southern country cooking! Very hefty portions; and a warning when we ordered a burger. It will take 1/2 hour because each burger is made fresh by hand when ordered. It was definitely worth waiting for and I’ll go out of my way to get another.

About the size of a 2 car garage… and a local as you can possibly get. It gets packed cause folks know the secret. Daily specials go fast and you better get there early. The shrimp is fresh and flavorful and the fried catfish is INSANE! huge portions and incredibly fresh and tasty. Slaw is delicious and fried okra on point. No wonder the locals love this place. What a wonderful experience. Ask for Brenda, she is the owner. Jessica our server was fantastic! If you leave here hungry it is your own fault! Go for the fresh cinnamon rolls and banana pudding!

Little country style restaurant, food was really good , the grilled porkchops looked amazing , i got the country fried steak , it was good not great. Menu said “fresh fried squash ” definitely not fresh homestyle as i expected. Overall a good experience

Easy to pass by this small hole in the wall restaurant, but don’t be fooled they are packing big flavor. Stopped by on our way to Charleston and ate a late lunch, we got fried pork chops with Mac and cheese rice and gravy with jalapeño poppers for an appetizer. They have water tea or lemonade to drink. Everything came out in a timely manner and the food was very good!

I am new to South Carolina and was told about this little gem tucked away in Ridgeville. The restaurant is small but comfortable. Guests having their lunch made room for others to sit and order their food. I had the catfish nuggets with a side of coleslaw and pasta salad. When my order arrived I immediately knew I wasn’t going to be able to eat it all. The catfish was crunchy and delicious. The coleslaw and pasta salad was fresh and flavorful. If you want to check it out, come hungry

The food was fine but the owner is extremely rude. I frequented this restaurant for a while and have been a local to the area for over 20 years. I’ve always raved about this place until my family’s recent encounter with the owner here. Will no longer be dining here unfortunately.
