This place is so lovely; I don’t mind waiting hours in line, and it’s always nice to talk to people and look at the amazing art. I am grateful to our community for supporting local businesses.

The best vegan/dairy free cinnamon roll I’ve ever had, the frosting beat just about any I’ve ever had, thanks! It was a good long wait, but with good tunes rockin, a companion to chat with, and enjoying the decor, the time flew! Totally worth it, thank you, and peace

The best cheese scones in all the land. Also, the best vegetarian mac and cheese in all the land. Really, the best vegetarian food in all the land.

I’ve been coming here all my life, and their food really just hits the spot. Our favorites are tomato soup and cheddar scones. And you can’t go wrong with mac ‘n’ cheese here either. I’d highly recommend coming here if you are vegan or vegetarian since there will be something truly fantastic to eat. However, you should be prepared to wait in line. The food is absolutely worth it, though.

Everything I’ve ever gotten from Grateful Bread has been out of this world. The Moroccan tomato soup has peanut and quite a bit of kick, but is so good. The texture and flavor of the scones are perfect. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Yes, the service is very slow (expect to wait in line for min 45 minutes), but worth the wait.

Great places have lines and occasionally run out of popular items. Worth the wait.
Don’t forget to bring cash.

This place used to rule – a quaint and quirky shop, serving really good soups and pastries. I don’t live in Lincoln anymore, but used to go to grateful bread all the time. It is one of the places I used to get homesick for.
I was in town last week for thanksgiving and picked up lunch on Wednesday. Even though there were ten people in line, i waited for nearly two hours (no exaggeration) for them to be sold out of Moroccan Tomato Soup and down to the last cheese scone.
If you can’t provide a baseline level of service, what is the point of being open? It was great once, but I think the twee of the place took over and now there’s no reason for me, at least, to go back.

A true Lincoln treasure. There hasn’t been one item that I haven’t loved. It’s so good, the atmosphere is so fun. If you are a Mac n Cheese fan, you must make this a stop. Their soups and scones are fantastic. Seriously just go, enjoy scrumptious vegetarian comfort food.
