You should come prepared to tip because the service, presentation, and food are always PHENOMENAL! They’re very well organized and you’ll receive service with a warm smile. Open seating, family-friendly environment is a plus! Even when I went out of state for vacation, I still missed their signature pho, it’s always the BEST!!! 5 Stars, Hands Down!!! {Pictured is Kung Pao Chicken and Combination Pho}. This is a great pho restaurant! I ordered a small beef pho bowl. The vegetables were clean and fresh, the beef was tender, the broth was very flavorful, and the portion size was spot-on.

I’d comment on the food but after 25 minutes it never came. A simple pad see ew order for one. Said they were slammed but the place was barely filled, I finally got up and left. This place used to be amazing but the menu is half what it was, service is slooow and you will be surcharged for not paying with cash.

My daughter and I had never heard of lakeshore restaurant so we decided to stop in. Neither of us were impressed. My daughter ordered her favorite, the orange chicken was so bad that my daughter couldn’t eat more than 2 bites. The pho was cold and the meat was chewy. I could have dealt with that. The topping on the cake was our waitress. I understand she is young, but that does not excuse the way she treated us. I stood at the cash register for 10 minutes while the other girl was running around busy. Our waitress was standing at the register and just ignored me as she was standing right in front of me! I am a good tipper and I did not tip because of the way she treated us. She then glared at me until we left. That behavior is inexcusable. We absolutely will not be back and if anyone asks how our experience was, I’m not going to lie.

I really hate that this place has declined so badly… the food isn’t as good anymore and the atmosphere of trying to eat inside the restaurant is abysmal, it’s always dirty, your food comes out with huge gaps in between so you have to awkwardly eat while others at the table never get their food, you have to ask for everything because they will bring you nothing and the prices have gone up like crazy.
How is an order of pho and an order of spring rolls 29.00?? If you’re going to charge big city prices you need to be offering an attractive dining atmosphere and better service and food.
Yes, food costs have gone up but this is crazy, every time I order the same order now the price goes up without explanation.
It’s seriously a shame to watch this restaurant go downhill over the years…

Lakeshore pho is one of the best places in town for asian food, my service was slow but it was definitely worth the wait! The girls there are such hard workers and I understand they have other responsibilities thats why I was so patient. The waitresses are young and are expanding their expirence for work before the real world. I was in their shoes once, working at a young age to get to the point I am now. The waitresses there are so nice. They smiled at me every chance they got, it made me feel really welcomed. Moving on to the food, I got the beef pho mmmm so yummy I am definitely coming back. This is my first time in Storm Lake since 2020. Its lovely being back in the place I grew up in. The food never disappoints and i always feel so much happier after eating. If this is your first time I recommend the Beef and Brisket pho and the boba! I am reading all of these other reviews and it couldnt be far from the truth! It really disappoints me because Lakeshore Pho is one of the best places for asian authentic food. I know this was based off their experience but reveiws have effects on restaurants. So this is my message for the people who never tried Lakeshore pho, never judge before you try it! I love Lakeshore pho and I hope their business expands and grows for the better.
