Great locally-owned ice cream shop and grill.
It’s a perfect place for a pick-me-up go to or from “Up North” on 131.
Plenty of dessert options with all your standard flavors for soft-serve ice cream. Prices are consistent with most shops like these and the portions are fair for what you pay.
There is also a sandwich menu with grilled meats and non-meat options.
Parking is a little tricky since you need to enter north of the store and the road is one-way only. Parking is free and it was easy to access.
Handicapped accessible, no curbs to navigate. Outdoor seating is available. No inside seating.

I lived in Mancelona fir 5 years never really ate here already too many people waiting in line. But I started going in and getting ice cream for me and my autistic son Nikolai. On our last visit my son grabbed a dollar jeep duck of their counter.he is autistic and know no difference. The owner chased us out saying that those are not for the taking. I had no clue what he was talking about. He seemed like we both should know what he was talking about. Once I noticed I gave it back and explained that my son is autistic. He was nice the owner but a little short on kindness ,He said one of the teen boys inside that worked there scooping ice-cream saw my son steal their duck. Once he told me how serious they were about this theft I told him the kid is petty for telling on an autistic Lil boy for taking a rubber duck.Right is right and it wasn’t ours to take . The owner is right about that. But any real man or real father would see the little boy and let him have the dam duck . Dude your a teenager worried about a 2 dollar rubber duck,grow up. And to the owner,,you could have just simply explained to me my son grabbed your workers toys instead of chasing us down outside and saying “those aren’t for taking “!! Other then the workers missing moral decency and kindness. Or the owner not seeing the benefit of giving an handicapped child a rubber duck and making a friend and customer for life.The ice cream is ok and service was fast.

I was being an A hole with my first review because I was very much looking forward to a banna split… it wasn’t that bad and my husband did say at least the young kids are working instead of playing on there phones….. so it wasn’t that bad it just wasn’t the banna split I had hoped for my husband said his flurries fixings were just in the bottom of the cup

The Dairy Delight now has poor quality food and portions for high dollar price! I tried giving this place a couple shots but every time was super disappointed. I want to like this place, it use to be the best when Neva owned it! The only reason I gave 1 star is because the employees are kind and the service is fast. I will seriously never go here again, it’s sad.

This place was delicious!!! I got a Carmel Brownie flurrie and it was AMAZING! The ice cream was so creamy and it had great flavor! I DEFINITELY recommend.

I had the small chilli cheese fries a large cone and the mango glacier freeze. The Chili cheese fries were amazing hot & fresh waited for maybe 5 minutes with folk already ahead of me. Cone was classic vanilla and hit the spot. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of the glacier freeze nothing wrong just not my type of treat. The employee at the window was more than kind cheerful and courteous. She was amazing. All in all for price and food portion sizes not bad especially this day and age.

My grandma took me here after stopping at the park nearby and the service was amazing! We got our food really fast, and at a very reasonable price, The food tasted great! They add coatings to the ice cream and my brother got a blue-raspberry coating!

Wow awesome ice cream with a fair amount of candy! It is hard to find an ice cream shop that is not cutting corners these days. Easy stop going north or south. Nice public restrooms across the road.

$7 for a medium-sized mixer? Don’t cry “food costs” to me. There is no way that ice cream and the cup and the spoon cost more than $2.50 Tasted great. Price sucked. Not coming back.
