Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill. The food all tastes like grease, grease was seeping out of my omelette that was like soup inside. the donuts seemed to be over a week old. The time to get food is not even worth the wait. Was served a stale cinnamon roll. To be honest it has been years since I have been here we used to make a special trip just for the donuts they were fresh and delicious.

I had the Cajun chicken special, Terrible.
The rice pilaf was mushy and there was not a difference from regular rice in flavor.
The chicken was barely eatable, dry, chewy no flavor. The corn was so overcooked and starchy, the gravy was like jello and tasted like old chicken. The deep fried mushrooms tasted like it was fried in old oil, and the salad was browning and again terrible. This is no better than crappy school cafeteria food.
I did not try the desserts or the pizza, maybe you’ll have better luck than I. A total waste of twenty five bucks! Thoroughly disappointed.

Husband and I ordered breakfast here this morning. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that the bread, jam (blackberry-peach) and salsa are homemade— and quite good! In addition, the hash browns were crispy (just the way I like them). And the atmosphere and service are really nice.

We definitely recommend Country Hearth Restaurant for breakfast (we didn’t try any other meals here) if you are in the area!

Wonderful old building, in an old historic town. Friendly staff, perfect eggs and hash, pancakes were huge. Homemade breads and cinnamon rolls were great. Coffee came free with breakfast and was pretty rough. But great food with watery Bunn coffee is still fine with me. If they had an espresso machine…oh man…

Absolutely loved this quaint little restaurant and bakery. It is decorated with antiques and old memorabilia. Our server was so friendly and sweet. Lunch was great.
The maple bars were huge and the best I’ve had in a long time.

The food was great, as was the service. Delicious freshly baked/homemade bread and other pastries! The second time we’ve been here, and have been very pleased each time. Customer service has always been 100%! This was the first we’ve eaten meals here (the other visits were for the bread and pastries), and we were not disappointed! Thanks for a great experience. (Pictures are of rhe homemade chocolate elcair and a freshly made bear claw with apples that we took to go… smelled delicous!!)

Two separate parties ordered after us but were served first. They ordered hot food while we ordered two salads. No water was offered nor coffee refilled. We waited 50 minutes for salad made with prepackaged salad mix. Horrible service and food.

Such a cute and warming dining experience. Truly matches its name. I had the fried fish basket. It had homemade potato salad which was amazing in the lettuce cup. Crispy fish. Great people who worked and own the restaurant. Lots of history, books, toys for kids to stay entertained. Bakery as well. I didn’t get to try any baked goods but they looked delicious.
Really great place to eat if you’re in Cedarville or even passing through 🙂 can’t wait to go back.
Sorry about the photo. The presentation was equally as amazing before I put the ketchup on

Spent a couple days here in Cederville. Ate at this place twice. Lunch and dinner. Was absolutely fantastic! Was a little busy on the last First Friday, but holy cow worth the wait! The prime rib was friggen delicious, tender and loaded with flavor. Enough for two people!
