Superb. I was in town for a work event and decided to check this place out because the images on Google looks like really well-presented and scrumptious meals. The vibe and ambiance reminded me of a place in Brisbane I visited a couple years back, all bougie but totally welcoming and classy. I sat at the bar, I was immediately greeted despite the small crowd around the bar (in fact, the bar seems the place to sit, even enjoying a 5 star meal), and the drink recommended to me, a Kentucky Old Fashioned, hit it on the nail for me as far as not sweet, a tad smokey and rich enough to melt on the tongue without a sting. I ordered the Siracha Glazed Salmon on a bed of asparagus risotto….delectable. The salmon was beautifully flaky and flavorful, the skin lightly seasoned so every bite packed some delight for the taste buds. I kept eating long after my stomach said “too much!”…because how could something this good be “too much”?
Go here. Prices are reasonable, the view of the river is lovely, the ambiance is welcoming even for someone on their lonesome journey, there are several TVs for news and games around the bar, and between the extensive craft beer and house cocktails, there is something for everyone.

Great location with friendly staff, excellent food and a modern feel. The space was very warm and welcoming. We ordered the bruschetta and a flatbread. The steak on the bruschetta was cooked perfectly and the balsamic and cheese were a nice touch to the dish. Its a must try!

The food was amazing. I had the steak sandwich and French onion soup. Both were done just right.
My drink was mixed perfectly.
The only thing I would change is to have a little more light in the area where we were seated.

the atmosphere here was very nice, but that’s about the only good thing i have to say. if i could rate this place 0 stars, i would. went here for my grandfathers birthday dinner, there was 9 of us & i don’t think any of us were truly happy with our meals! we even had to send one back, he asked for a med rare burger to replace the meal, should take 10 min tops, we had to sit there & wait for it after everyone was done eating & it came out well done! & that’s not even the worst part! the worst part was, i ordered short rib mac & cheese & even though it tasted great, i woke up the next day with FOOD POISONING! i will never, ever, be going back here!!

I had their ruby sparkler. A non alcoholic moc tail while waiting for family to arrive. It was actually delicious! Made with fresh squeezed grapefruit and I believe cranberries. So good. This place has a nice higher end atmosphere and high quality looking menu. I didn’t have time to eat unfortunately. I will be back there to eat.

I decided to order what was once my wife’s favorite meal for her birthday today. Although the total is on the high end for this specific meal, I wanted her to have her favorite meal from her favorite place on her birthday. What they gave me today was absolutely garbage. We always do fried calamari, cheese curds and the lobster Mac and cheese for her, regular Mac and cheese for me. Right away, we noticed that the calamari that are usually delicately battered with care, and moist and delicious were mostly not battered at all, just dried up octopi, one with his hole flashing me right when I opened the container. Now, I’m not naive, I know what I’m eating, but there’s a reason we order it deep fried. Typically, if you didn’t ask what it was, you wouldn’t even know. Then we realize that yeah they battered them, a giant clump of batter at the bottom of the container. I wanted to eat this once delicious food so bad that I was going to just close my eyes and pop the flasher in, but it was just simply not an option. I have never declared food that I ordered inedible, not at all usually picky, but this is flat out disgusting. And we are just getting started. My wife’s lobster Mac and cheese was just a bunch of unmelted sliced cheese with idek in it. She also said her food was inedible. My Mac and cheese was about a fourth of the container with the same, unmelted cheese slices on top. We will never be back. This isn’t even a mistake, this is trash, literally, where it ended up. Now we will have to find something else to eat after spending $100 dollars on dinner for two. Just bad business.

My husband and son n law loved their burgers and fries, but I wasn’t a fan of my pork chop. It had too many flavors, which was weird because the pork chop itself had no flavor but it was juicy. The goat cheese in my mash potatoes was a little bit too much for me. The apples and the seasoning on top of the carrots wasn’t a good taste together. My jalapeños margarita was delicious. The restaurant gives off great vibes and it is so pretty. The service was great and the place was very clean. Overall I do recommend this place.

Beautiful date night place. Obviously busy on valentine’s day. Was a pricey meal but thats to be expected. Issue is that even being busy somehow everything we got was cold. 2 lovster tails cold. Steak was tender but ice cold. Only thing hot was potatoes and Mac and cheese. Sad because ive wanted to come here for a while and finally took the shot. Sad to say. Cant do it again..

First time at Drafthouse, first time in downtown Janesville area. A local friend recommended this restaurant/bar, beautiful atmosphere and presentation for the food, we were given the 10$ meal options for lunch which was divine (I believe it was a butter chicken?) and I had the lobster Mac, also delicious and decadent, along with duck dumpling appetizers which were cooked to perfection (very tender and juicy and filling haha)
Our server was excellent and attentive, we came in around late afternoon on a Monday, and the drink was quite pleasant. Presentation of the dishes was beautiful, lucky for our group not many other diners were there so we got to enjoy our meals with no interruption.

I could eat this everyday!!!! Prices are on the higher end the taste of the food is worth it. A great place for a date, with friends, or to spoil yourself. I recommend the Brussel sprouts and Seared tuna. Parking you may get lucky and get a spot in the road. Otherwise there is a parking garage very close to the restaurant.
