My grad school friends and I are in town for a reunion and they were all raving about the $20 lobster rolls having gone to multiple other places for lobster around Harpswell. Unanimously they seemed to agree on the lobster rolls and clam cakes.

I decided to get the chicken tender basket. Overall, the price is a bit steep for 3-4 chicken tenders and some fries at $15 (I added a can of Pepsi ($2) and upgraded the regular fries to sweet potato fries ($1) so my total ended up being $18 for what in most places is like $10. Still, the chicken was tender and the fries weren’t bad. I did order the honey mustard to dip the chicken in but it tasted less like honey mustard and more like honey mustard.

Overall it was decent, just a bit pricy. It is a shack on the side of the road with approximately 4-5 picnic tables for seating and I believe no bathrooms although I’m not sure since I didn’t have to use one.

What an adorable roadside snack shack! Everything is reasonably priced and the food is delicious. We had the lobster roll and onion rings, both or which were very good. They also have a little sandbox picnic table for the kiddos which our 3 year old loved! Definitely worth a stop on your way down to Harpswell!

It doesn’t get more Maine than this. Classic lobster rolls, french fries and a Moxie soda.

Nance makes some of the best seafood around! And, the onion rings are awesome, too.

Some of the best fast seafood I’ve ever had. Fried clams and crab rolls are my favorites, and the sweet potato fries are great too. Bring cash, and make sure she’s open if you’re making a trip specifically to eat here.

The scallops were about the first fresh I had had-They were good. I’ve now had some in Bar Harbor-The ones from Nance’s were really much much better. You could taste the extra freshness and the batter was thicker.

We landed here on accident and thank goodness we did!! Upon arrival four different people approached us to say the food here is incredible isnt it!?! When we explained it was our first time they responded with comments like you made the right choice! And did we ever! The lobster roll was fantastic the clam roll was equally as wonderful. We ordered 2 clam cakes and they were cooked perfectly with nig chuncks of clam and extremely flavorful. The french fried were good/average and upon suggestion we ordered onion rings. Hands down the best ive ever eaten along with everything else. The owner/chef was extremely kind and appreciative of our business. I will absolutely be back every summer.

So cool to see a lobster shack on side of the road. you think you have found the secret place all the locals go for freshness. .Wrong Stay Clear!!! If this place was any good in the past those days are gone. Scallops were rubber and had no Flavor. Shrimp were those tiny tiny ones you get in a can, You literally could not tell them from the lousy batter. Skimpy lobster rolls that did not measure up to even a supermarket roll.
