This Chef loves this place for the Sunday brunch!! Always went before Covid hit. Have not been back post Covid. But I heard Sunday brunch is back. All you can eat for one price. Way too many selections for food during Brunch. I highly recommend this place since Le Bec Fin closed. Also the executive Chef here is from my old school; The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College.

Wow amazing food. Don’t be fooled by the appetizers or starters being smaller or the desserts are delightful. The main course the steak I had was superb and the Bordeaux was exceptional. $80 for a bottle or $21 a drink reasonable. We had a business dinner with a client. We all were staying at different hotels and we did not have any reservations but they took great care of us. Rittenhouse has several great restaurants. Bon appetit

My past few dining experiences at other restaurants in Philadelphia were so grossly substandard. I was so pleased with my dining experience at Lacroix, it reminded me of an era when I could call Philadelphia the 2nd best place in the States for good eats. The food was immensely fresh, the presentation was immaculate. Service was precise, and punched well above its weight. The restaurant is beautiful, and while not remodeled, it has retained a timeless look. If you are looking for a sure thing, Lacroix is your destination. Truly outstanding

Review for Brunch only.
The selection of food, quality of each dish, service and friendliness of the chef were impeccable. Nothing bad here at all. The meal felt exceptionally relaxed. The servers were attentive without being overbearing (a hard balance which was perfectly executed). The sizes of each dish were perfect for allowing a taste of everything. The staff were proactive in making sure every option was always available. The chef in the kitchen was great explaining it each of the roast dishes available and was very friendly. The quality of the coffee is a good way to judge a brunch, and the coffee was great. An exceptional experience.
Note: Review does not apply to afternoon tea (my experience of afternoon tea here over a decade ago was poor, I still have yet to find a place outside of the UK that can provide even an average afternoon tea).

Lacroix is a beautiful restaurant located on the second floor of the Rittenhouse hotel. We had drinks and appetizers at Bar 210 within the restaurant one day as well as breakfast one morning in the main dining room during our weekend stay at the property. The food was great, and the service was excellent during both of our visits!

I loved Lacroix, but I think recently the taste of the food has gone a bit down. During my recent visit, I did the Chef’s tasting. While the food was plated in an eye-catching manner, the taste was a bit lacking. I was especially displeased with the Pheasant, which was just plain dry. I would, however, extend my compliments to the pastry chef, because the desserts were on point. Hope you guys get better, and back to your previous quality.
On a side note – The service is still one of the best in the city and the ambiance is fantastic as usual.

One of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. The food was sumptuous, and the service was mind blowing.

I visited during restaurant week, and the experience was great. The menu was 3 courses (appetizer, entree, dessert), which were also accompanied by complimentary bread & butter that was delicious. The appetizer course was a great, light start to the meal. We ordered the risotto potatoes (8/10) and the fazzoletti (9/10). We ordered the strip steak (9/10) and lobster (8/10), which were also delicious. Lastly, for the dessert course we ordered the apple crumble (9/10) and the chocolate mousse (7/10). The apple crumble dessert was the most impressive dish – the taste of the Fall/Winter season was brought through in every bite. In addition to the restaurant week courses, we ordered the restaurants wagyu accompaniment ($80 additional total), which was composed of a wagyu tartare (9/10) and 2 amazing pieces of seared wagyu that melted the second you ate them. The service was also spectacular and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, this was one of our favorite food experiences.

This restaurant was average for me. The food was very good. However, I felt the servers were sub-par for a restaurant of this caliber. The service was very slow after we were seated.
The female server brought us a bottle of wine we order that was spoiled. She said that it tasted fine to her. I have tasted thousands of bottles of wine and know good and bad wine. I do NOT like the fact that they open the bottle at another location than the table. Opening the wine is part of the process.
When we walked into the restaurant there was a wait for anyone to appear. And when he did, it felt like they were not expecting anyone to show. I feel like this place is a want to be top Philly restaurant, but they won’t spend the money to get it there.
I would skip this place for the much better options in the square. They should walk down the Barkley Prime to see how it’s done.

This is a sad review to leave, but this buffet brunch has become not worth it. They removed all of the Good items that they used to have on this buffet and replace it with a lot of hot starchy style potatoes, and inexpensive dishes unless you’re planning on filling up on oysters and caviar, those are the only two things that are decent on the buffet. There is no longer crab or anything of that nature. especially the breakfast items are something to be ashamed of the breakfast items are similar to something you would find at a Howard Johnson breakfast. Some of the items seem to be pre-prepared such as chicken, liver moose, look like they had come from a frozen packaging from Cisco foods.
