Our favorite Mexican place closed and we have been on a quest to find a replacement. We have had Taquiza Limon before at parties and from their food truck, but this was our first experience at their restaurant. The staff was attentive and the food was enjoyable. The Loco Burrito is…huge! We also tried the Moscato Mojitos and very much enjoyed the cocktail. It went nicely with dinner and didn’t leave us missing margaritas. We will most certainly be back!

Honestly this food is SO GOOD. I usually eat at mexican restaurants with the pre-understanding that I will be disappointed, but this place blew away my expectations. The salsa was actually flavored, the horchata was perfect, and the food tasted delicious and was generous. I admired the interior decoration, really drawing in an authentic atmosphere. We went at 6pm on a Thursday night, and the service was quick and attentive. New favorite place on this side of Mt. Diablo. Nosotros volveremos!

The food is delicious! I’ve tried all sorts of items on the menu. My absolute favorite(s) are the tamales and enchiladas locas. They truly take care of their customers. My family mentioned it was my birthday and they surprised me with a Chiro and ice cream. They sang happy birthday in English and in Spanish, that totally made my day! The Chiro and ice cream were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this Mexican restaurant! Thank you Anna and Patty for your amazing service!

Great family friendly restaurant. Not a huge place, it has 4 tables inside and patio tables outside. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table! A wide variety of choices for plates and burritos.
Parking: this place is located at a shopping center so there’s plenty of parking spots. There’s also an ATM in the area Incase you’re in need of cash :).
Food: the food tasted really good and fresh! I ordered carne asada plate and there’s was nothing left but the lettuce :). My friend ordered Chile Relleno and tamale. The kiddos got burritos and they loved it too.
Service: really family friendly, attentive, and very nice people. There were a lot of door dash orders (so you know, it’s good). Thank you!!! We will come again!

Used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant, until today. Discovered the horchata I was drinking from had an entire insect in it. Instantly became sick and threw up, and couldn’t finish the rest of my food. Who knows what else is hidden and crawling through everything else?! Never buying from Taquiza Limon again.

The vegan options at Taquiza Limón are solid!! It’s not always easy to find authentic Mexican food that caters to a plant-based diet, but they do a great job. Their potato tacos, nopales (cactus) tacos, and grilled veggie burritos are flavorful and satisfying. The tortillas taste fresh, and they don’t skimp on portions.
I also appreciate that they have vegan-friendly beans and rice—a small but important detail for those avoiding animal products. Their complimentary salsa is fire! Literally spicy and tasty , and everything has that homemade, traditional touch.
If you’re vegan or just looking for a lighter, plant-based option, this place is worth checking out. Would love to see even more vegan options in the future!

Been loving this place since they originally opened in Oakley years ago. The owners are a very friendly family. Amazing high quality food. Extensive vegan options if you have any vegan friends or family. Extremely high quality meats also their carne asada, Pollo, chili Verde, El pastor, all of it!
