Had a 10/10 experience dining at Kazoku tonight. The owner was the sweetest woman, and the staff were all great as well. We were brought an appetizer to try courtesy of the owner and it was phenomenal. They were incredibly accommodating for having been open just four days. The sushi was amazing, the soup was amazing, everything was perfect. At the end of our meal even the chef came out to ask how everything was. The whole experience felt very personal. This is a restaurant I would love to see stick around. Can’t wait to eat here again 🙂

I wanted to try all the weekend specials. The bluefin tuna was some of the best I’ve had and the sea urchin was good *especially* for the price. Along with the 2 for 1 sake drinks and sashimi taco. Overall, quality was great and atmosphere was quaint.

Best place ever! The food was to die for, and was very good quality! Very FRESH and flavorful! The service was amazing and inclusive and went out of their way for us. We went at 5 pm on a Sunday and we got our food in no time! The portions were very big and filling! Definitely will be back.

Delicious sushi in Minnetonka, conveniently located right down the road, off hwy 62. Plenty of parking. The service was wonderful, attentive, and quick.
I love that they marked the cooked sushi compared to the raw, being pregnant and still craving sushi. The mocktails are delicious, too.

A nice little neighborhood Japanese spot. Fair amount of seating inside and a small outside patio area. Full bar and a small sushi bar area if you just want to pop in for that. Happy hour from 4-6pm
The sashimi tacos were good served on a fried wanton so more of a crisp than a taco. Lots of sashimi and a tasty sauce. The rolls were good. The tgi Friday roll was flavorful and prepared well. They are mostly classic rolls but definitely have a few ‘customized ones’. The one that fell a little short was the shrimp the yaki soba. The positive was it was prepared well with a good amount of shrimp, but I felt it was a little anemic on the traditional veggies. Just onion, scallion, and broccoli No carrot slices, or daikon, or mushrooms. Flavor was fine (needs a dash of soy added), but I think they could jazz it up a bit. I am sure they will get there.
Want to go back and try the raman and bit more of the sushi and apps.
The bar is nice, with a few screens if you are just chilling for a quick bite or meeting up with a friend.
Staff was very nice, still learning the menu and bar menu

Had to try this spot once we found out it became a sushi restaurant – so glad we did, because it was excellent! They just opened, so we weren’t able to get the full ambiance yet, but their menu was already more than sufficient. We had Miso Soup, Jalapeño Bombs, Sashimi Tacos, Dragon Roll, and Wonder Woman Roll. We loved everything! We will definitely be back soon.
Editing on 1/13/22 – back tonight and they got their liquor license!! The sparkling sake is amazing!

My go-to Japanese restaurant. This is a must-visit! The food is amazing, great portions, and fantastic cocktails. The husband-wife duo bartenders on Wednesdays are both fun and entertaining. Casual, laid back atmosphere with a roomy and contemporary interior.

Tried their creative sushi and house cocktails. First their Tokyo Manhattan is quite amazing. I am not a Manhattan fan but Tokyo Manhattan was easy to drink and on the sweet side. Now, the best part. Their sushis were one of the best I have ever had among the restaurants I tried in different parts of the world. The highlight was sashimi tacos. Must try, and the combination of sweetness and fried wonton had the right balance. Just out of this world! Jalapeno Bomb was also amazing: the combination of cream cheese and deep fried jalapeno. The same goes for Spiderman roll. It is unique and has a good balance of sweet and sour tastes. On top of their delicious and creative food, the service was attentive and friendly. More than 5 ⭐

Best Japanese in town! Tried a variety of options off of their menu and you can’t go wrong with anything. My favorites were their Monkey Brain and Jalapeño Bombs. Their house salad dressing was the best. My son (8), who’s on the pickier side, said this is his favorite restaurant and is 99.9% sure to return.

Celebrated an anniversary with my parter here and the staff were so nice. We got to meet the owner and she was such a sweet woman. We noticed that she personally greeted all the guests who came in and had genuine conversations with many of the tables. The sushi was very fresh and tasty, and the the menu had great variety. 10/10 easily my favorite sushi restaurant!
