Very clean, great tasting carne asada. Small place to eat inside, but very comfortable. Prices are ok compared to similar places.

I’ve ordered from this place multiple times and what I mostly enjoy is the fact they cook the meat on the spot. Today I ordered takeout and the food was packaged very well and was made correct to order. However, the gallo pinto was the worst gallo pinto I’ve had in a long time from any fritanga. Beans and rice were overcooked and extremely low on salt and flavor. The meat and queso frito were decent. For the cost of this food, more effort should be placed to change out the gallo pinto once it’s getting to the end. Will not be buying from here again.

Delicious meal. They cook the meat once you order. So it’s freshly cooked.

I used to buy very often in this place but lately you can’t go anymore, this Friday I bought roast beef and it was the worst option, the burned meat, the hard rice and the fried plantains had a bitter taste… it’s a shame that this place with a such a rich culinary culture sell food with such poor quality

Try this place. Awesome food. I always order the Gallo Pinto (rice and beans), platanitos (plantains), queso Frito (fried cheese), ensalada de col (coleslaw) and of course the carne asada con medio termino (grilled beef done medium). Prices used to be on the t.v. monitors but have been broken for months. My plate was $13.09 total with the Milca soda and fried cheese. Small place but you have outside seating. Probably better to order in advance for take-out. Meat and cheese is cooked to order so you have to wait a little longer but for me it taste better like this.

Carne Asada was not good at all. It was as if you drank a whole bottle of mojo while eating it. This place used to be good.

Hungry? Very hungry? Looking for a quick and good bite for lunch or dinner? This place is quick, but it is not good at all… It is Delicious!! No kidding. It is also a fresh and full meal for less than $10. The only thing is that you gotta wait a few minutes because your fresh steak will be made to your taste. Can’t wait? The other option is to choose from other types of meat already made sizzling right there in front of you. Good luck making up your mind! Wait, you’re not done yet. You still have to select the sides. Get your food for eat-in or to go, now go and pay to the smiling lady at the register. This is Nicaraguan cuisine. You will love the service.

I come here for queso frito and it’s one of the best places for this.

My complaint is no working bathroom for customers. I had to go really bad and thought I’ll go at the restaurant I’m always buying the queso frito from and I’ll go to the bathroom before ordering. I was literally close to having an accident. I had to plead to get them to tell me where I could go and then they said the grocery store, so you’d have to walk a really long distance to get to their bathroom, so if it’s an emergency, it will exacerbate the possibility of having an accident. This was a horrible solution so I went outside walked to the left and was able to use the bathroom at the ice cream gelato shop. The guy there was so nice and helpful.

Update: read the owner’s response. First it’s zero apology and a smart ass no acknowlement of my experience. When I was there the toilet was locked and I was told it was broken. I’m not a liar but your conduct makes you a poor business owner. On another visit there was a problem with the latch and it was challenging to get out of the bathroom. I recently went back on keto and though cheese/queso is keto I’m also trying to avoid seed oils as they’re extremely unhealthy. Going after queso frito was occasional for me, now it’s extra occasional. The owner’s inappropriate response made me especially lose my appetite especially for this place. I see more of these types of backwards narcissistic responses to customers in Miami than practically any other place. As a business owner, it’s important to learn how to build rapport with clients/customers and when there’s issues, be accountable in your attitude in your responses and possibly providing some form of remedy for bad experiences. Your response was dishonest and not the type response of a reputable business owner. When I see this type response and Google maps does alert people so we can look, it is unsavory and offensive. Ultimately it can hurt your business when you fail to be professional with tact and diplomacy. Failure to even apologize is a huge lack of character and well narcissists typically gaslight people and have no character or honor.
