Privately held, Lee Cummings, the nephew of KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders, started developing his Famous Recipe chicken in 1966. Lee along with Harold Omer started Harold’s Take-Home in Lima, OH where he introduced his first Famous Chicken recipe. The word spread of the great new recipe and later that year, the first franchise unit was sold to Jim Sanders in Columbus, OH. Today, there are more than 130 locations in 14 states across America.

Complete understanding why the wait was long cause of the Sunday rush. But waiting in drive thur for 20 min this to get to the window and be told your food have a 10 min wait. I do hope things get better for the organization. It’s walking distance and great place for someone like me who work 12 hours.

My first time here. I waited more than 15/20 minutes to get my food with no traffic in front of me. My baked beans were ice cold and my drink had no flavor. The jalapeño peppers were juicy, hot, and crunchy. The chicken was hot and seasoned really good. The biscuit was my favorite. It was soft, hot, and fluffy like KFC biscuits.

I use to love Lee’s and always grabbed chicken there. I often even stopped just for some wedges. But the last few times I’ve eaten there, the food has been terrible. The chicken and wedges are often so soggy with grease that it soaks through the box and destroys the box. The wedges are now huge…and too soft. Mostly due to the grease. The coating doesn’t stay on. I no longer get them as a side. The mashed potatoes are very stiff. I really have nothing good to say about Lee’s anymore….other than the flavoring is good…if the chicken isn’t too soggy to eat.

This is the greatest restaurant in the history of the world. I pray everyone can someday know the pleasure of a meal from Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken. I think our country could finally heal and unite over the togetherness of enjoying such an establishment as this. Food is a daily essential, but Lee’s is a privilege and a mystery like non other. How is it that food can bring such comfort and joy and nostalgia and peace? I guarantee their potato wedges will take you into another world. A world of bliss and delight.

It is crucial to add signs or arrows to the entrance and exit. No one should have to guess how to get into the place of business. I ended up driving into the exit area because I saw absolutely no entrance area, and I did not see any signs or direction telling me how to enter, exit etc. It is so dangerous to not have any signs or any form of direction. Food was fine. Service was great.

I noticed the drive-through line moved very fast as well, and all of the workers were very pleasant and friendly. Overall, absolutely awesome delicious food stop on my visit to rock hill.

First time here. After a long shift at the hospital decided to try this place to pick up a large order for my family. The cashier was friendly and handed my bag I asked if that was everything and he confirmed. I got home to Tega Cay and all the chicken was missing. Had to go all the way back to get it, the manager refused to come out and refused to remake the chicken after it had been sitting for over an hour because they forgot to label it. Will definitely never go back!!
