Get there Early. We got there at 3:00 and they had almost no meat left and very few sides. I hade the last two meats left, beef links and cubes brisket. Both were very good. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They even gave us a great dessert to share for stopping in and them running out of things. Not necessary. That is what happens at BBQ joints. Was in Fort Worth for a day trip from St. Louis and it was a great lunch spot. Yes I had the meat sweats afterwards. The only reason atmosphere didn’t get a 5 is because for 5 people you have to eat outside and the flys were pretty bad. But not the end of the world. I have had to do that same thing at multiple BBQ places. Thank you Brown’s Backyard.

This is a quintessential family owned unbelievably great little food joint. There’s not one thing about this place. I didn’t love. The food was amazing. The people were so grateful to be able to serve you as their customer. Their green beans were cooked like my grandmother used to make them, and the huge scoop of potato salad that went with my wife’s generous portions of brisket was very good with a little sweetness to it. I had the brisket stuffed baked potato and could only get half of it down and it was fabulous. I love this place, I wish the Browns were my next-door neighbors. I live an hour away, but I will definitely be back. Great job, Dominique Brown, and the real owner and leader of all of Brown’s backyard barbecue. The beautiful Mrs. Brown.

First time here from Minnesota. Customer service was amazing, the ladies at the counter were so friendly. Food was amazing. Ribs, chicken, Mac and cheese, peach cobbler, 10/10. The jalapeño links were my favorite.

I absolutely love this family owned barbeque spot! The service is just as good as the food. The smoked turkey leg is delicious. Don’t forget to try the white velvet cake. PS: My favorite side – the collard greens.

First time visiting Brown’s Backyard BBQ. Even though this is a takeout location with only a couple of picnic tables out front, the Employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. The food was Excellent .

You can’t miss with this place. They have beef tips and rice on Fri/Sat and their food along with their prices are super affordable. My go to is either the brisket potato or the 2 meat plate. My fave sides are the pinto beans and greens. And that dessert does NOT disappoint!! Homemade and the cake is sooo moist!!

Superb. There is plenty to say about this place. Went here on a whim for a late lunch from work. Happened to be the best impulse decision I’ve made regarding food so far. Got a three meat plate. They ran out of sliced Brisket before I got there, so I had the Chopped Brisket, which was brought out in a bowl soaking in its own delicious Brisket juice. Besides that, got the St. Louis Style Ribs and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage, with the sides of Potato Salad and Bbq Baked Beans. The Chopped Brisket was insanely smokey and juicy, the Ribs were so tender they fell apart once my teeth touched them, and the JC Sausage had a great “snap” when bit into. The potato salad was homemade and absolutely phenomenal. The beans were also quite good, and the meal came with a choice of bread or corn bread(Sweet corn bread was amazing as well, more like a muffin though). Besides these things I also got a Lemon Cake and a Large Sweet Tea. The lemon cake was moist and tender, super delicious, and southern sweet tea speaks for itself. If I am ever in Fort Worth again for any notable amount of time, I will be stopping in again.

Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. The Mac n Cbeese had too much black pepper, The Brisket had way too much fat. For a lb of Brisket is only 4 slices, but more fat than meat. Ribs have good flavor. The beans are good with all the meat in it. The people are nice & very friendly. Was it worth $116 that I paid for everything. No, but I will give a 2nd chance. Maybe I got the leftover portions. I bought Slab Ribs, 2 sides pound of Brisket & 2 chop beef sandwiches. The one picture is all the fat just from one slice of Brisket as you see in the Pic

Wish I could give it 10 stars! We live in California and always get bbq when visiting family in Texas. Well, I can officially say this is our place when we come visit. The bbq was amazing. We had the brisket and ribs. Both outstanding. I usually don’t like getting sides at bbq places but their sides were phenomenal! All homemade and we even got extra sides.
Also, the staff and owners are amazing. Felt so welcomed and treated like family while there. Everyone was amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

We are from Lubbock and we stopped here on the way home. I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly. The food was exceptional. We all gobbled our food down so fast because it was so good. I highly recommend you eat here. We all had the brisket sandwiches, though they let us sample the chopped. It was also outstanding. The potatoes they were making looked scrumptious. This is a must stop! You will not regret it. We have a Texas Monthly top rated bbq close and I think this was way better.
