The staff are all so nice! The food is delicious and authentic, it makes me remember home! A little pricey, but on par for the area. The environment is is fun and inviting. I would definitely go back!

Fantastic! Wow! This was certainly a soup with a zing to it. The flavor was full, and perhaps it was almost too spicy if not for the side condiments to curb the intensity. Delicious tacos as well. Great ambiance and very friendly waiters. Fast service and good feedback; our water cups were never empty. The two sauces provided with the chips were unique—neither was the traditional red salsa. There was a green tomatillo sauce and a red-orange, smooth sauce that tasted incredible when mixed with lime juice.

The soup had hominy, beef chunks, a stringy spice-line reed set, and some miscellaneous, wimpy leafy vegetables. Great flavor, despite the lack of greenery! Really did enjoy this experience, and I will definitely be coming back.

Expect ~$15/person.

Service has been good. Husband and I had the carne asada, and the herichna (something like a flat bread pizza). The margaritas are authentic, not from a mix.

This was our first time and we are definitely coming back with friends and family!!

Probably the best Mexican food in Richmond. The chilaquiles came with a carne asada, the salsa was great, carnitas amazing. Kids loved the rolled tacos and quesadilla. Looking forward to coming back and trying everything else they have.

Great food! Go here for the food, because it’s tasty! We really loved our appetizer, the Tostados de Tinga. So full of flavor and enjoyable to put in our mouths. I had the Carnitas Burrito and it was delightful. It did NOT taste like other burritos from other well known places, it was unique and delicious. Burritos can often taste the same because they are constructed from the same ingredients but this burrito was not the same and I thought it was very well done. Chips were tasty and their salsas were great. I don’t know what they call the red salsa/sauce they brought with the chips (was also on my burrito) but it was really great. A very different flavor profile that I am having a hard time describing. It was creamy and tomatoey and really great. I guess this is a second location to their location in Columbia Heights. We were they only customers in the place for lunch so don’t know how well they are doing in this area but hopefully they are able to stick around. I will say the prices were a bit higher than typical for the area but the quality of the food is also a clear step up. If you want some great Mexican, this is a great place.

Went on a Sunday evening and the crowds were consistent, but not overwhelming. They are still practicing social distancing inside with spaced tables. The food was flavorful and authentic. The Azteca Tacos and the Carnitas Quesadilla were delicious. Only two issues: the chips come in weird, fancy spiral things that does not hold nearly enough and the margaritas are pricey ($11) for a plastic cup of house marg.

We went this afternoon, and all we can say is delicious! We got the hibiscus and pineapple margaritas, the el Diablo, tacos de Canastas, shrimp enchiladas and beef enchiladas. EVERYTHING tasted amazing and fresh, including the chips and house made salsas. The service was awesome, and we never had to wait for anything. Definitely our new favorite little spot for Mexican food.

Amazing Micheladas! I like this location better because parking is easier. Food is amazing as usual. I love their chilaquiles and oysters. Everything is fresh and very authentic Mexican food. Try their “gorditas” I strongly recommend!

Food is delicious and well prepared. Great presentation. Staff is very attentive. It is our go to in the area for tacos. Definitely worth the drive down Hwy 1.

Excellent food and service, very attentive and responsive staff. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, and it was a great time to be there for afternoon food and drinks.
We got the classic margarita pitcher which was on point, but really the food was where it is at. We went for a spread including the the guac, Queso Fundido, fish tacos, crispy chicken and azteca tacos instead of tacos à la carte but my favorite was really the Cemitas Tortas. I got it sans mayo and with carnitas, and will definitely be getting that again. As for the fish tacos, these might be some of the best fish tacos I’ve had outside of California, and if you like hot and crispy meaty cheese, you’re going to be all about the queso fundido.
