I visited Chandani Chowk at 3775 Lafayette St in Santa Clara and enjoyed my experience overall. I tried the samosa chaat, Manchurian, and schezwan fried rice. The samosa chaat and fried rice were really flavorful and satisfying. The Manchurian could be better, but everything else was tasty and well prepared. The place has a nice, casual vibe and the food came out fresh. Overall, a good spot for enjoying Indian street-style flavors!

Chandni Chowk absolutely nails the décor. The moment you walk in, the ambiance is beautiful, immersive, and nostalgic, instantly transporting you down memory lane. The space is thoughtfully designed, and the hosts were warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. There is also a decent amount of parking available, which makes visiting convenient.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the setting during this visit. The paani puri was okay, but it could have been much better in terms of freshness and flavor. Some of the other items we ordered for the table didn’t taste as fresh as expected, which was a bit disappointing.
That said, it could very well have been an off day, and given how much effort has gone into the ambiance and concept, there’s definitely potential here. Hopefully, the food quality improves with time and becomes more consistent.
They definitely shine in ambiance and hospitality, and with better execution in the kitchen, it could turn into a standout spot. I’d be open to giving it another try in the future.

My family of 3 went here for an evening snack on a quite Saturday. The place was not crowded and we were seated immediately. The staff were courteous and service was quick. Bun maska was comforting. Samosa and onion pakoda were served warmed with very good chutneys. Matka chai was super flavorful but was a touch watery. I would have preferred it to be creamy and rich to wash down the slightly greasy snacks. But, make no mistake, the combination of chai+pakoda+samosa+bun maska still hit the spot!! Red velvet cake has dried out, likely because it is not stored correctl, and was disappointing.

Its located behind a gas station with decent parking available. The interiors are quirky and nostalgic. We have been here multiple times and the food has been from great to okay. Aslam chicken and the panipuri are the highlight for us. Chowmein, chole bhature have been good but inconsistent. Overall, go for a low key no fuss Delhi style Indian food.

Nice decor, friendly staff, delicious food. Open late which is awesome. Tried their live pani puri and dahi puri chaat. Live pani puri, as the name suggests, is served live with 5 different sauces – mint, mango, pineapple, tamarind, forgot the 5th one. They bulk sell the tamarind one (khatta mitha) in packs too. The movie wall decor is very cute

From the Delta Hotels Santa Clara, I took a 20 minutes health walk and found this gem! Very good Indian food. Very typical atmosphere with silver plates, colourful decoration to bring you in another world. The service was excellent too. It was a very good experience.

We tried a few options and were not impressed with the quality of the food. The Pav Bhaji tasted bitter after a few bites and didn’t even feel like it was something we were getting from a North Indian style cuisine.
The Chole Bhature were at least okay and the Indo-Chinese option was okay-ish but overall it was a disappointing experience since we visited based on the reviews.
(I am from Phoenix but my friends took me here to try something different)
The restaurant has a good ambience I feel because of the old-style delhi decoration they did but other than that we didn’t feel anything special. We requested water and it wasn’t provided even when the guy came with a check.
Anyway, last ever visit at least for me.

The soya malai chaap is good. The veg Momo filling is minced a bit too much. The pav bhaji was ok. The banta paani drink is an acquired taste … And I don’t think I will ever acquire the taste 🙂
