If you’re craving a memorable Indian dining experience on Long Island, Saffire in Commack is an absolute must-try. From the warm and inviting atmosphere to the bold, beautifully crafted flavors, this restaurant consistently delivers on all fronts.
Right from the moment you walk in, the contemporary yet relaxed vibe sets the stage for a special meal. The staff are genuinely welcoming and attentive, offering knowledgeable suggestions — whether you’re navigating the menu for the first time or returning as a regular. Diners frequently highlight how accommodating the team is with spice preferences and menu guidance, making everyone feel comfortable and catered to.
The menu itself is a celebration of modern South Asian cuisine. Classic curries like Chicken Tikka Masala boast rich, layered flavors while vibrant biryanis and succulent kebabs stand out for their fragrant spices and perfect execution. Appetizers like the varied samosa trio and inventive small plates are consistently praised, and specialty breads — especially the sesame naan — are a flavorful highlight.
What elevates the experience is the consistent praise from guests: from excellent service and a pleasant ambiance to dishes that leave you excited to return. Many reviewers cite this as some of the best Indian food they’ve enjoyed locally, with flavorful plates that rival major city restaurants.
Whether it’s a casual lunch, a date night, or a dinner with friends, Saffire combines striking flavors, generous portions, and gracious service to make every visit special. Make sure to ask for Nikki, she will make your visit special.

This was our first time visiting Saffire, and everything exceeded our expectations—from the food to the ambiance and the service. The staff was extremely friendly and offered great recommendations, though we decided to go with the lunch buffet. Almost every item was delicious; the only exception for us was the mutton biryani. Overall, the quality and experience were absolutely worth every penny. We’ll definitely be returning very soon. A big plus is the large parking area and the spacious outdoor seating as well. Highly recommended!

I think we may have found our new favorite place. The food was so fresh and so flavored. There was nothing generic about the dishes. It’s obvious that every dish is carefully prepared.
As great as the food was, our server Nikki was phenomenal. She was so helpful with the menu and just flat out incredibly personable.
This definitely will not be the last visit.

We were in search of something new and delicious and we hit the jackpot! We decided to go for the happy hour specials to get a feel for the food and drink. We started with a mango margarita which was perfect to go with our first 2 choices off the happy hour menu, the Ali Tikki and Chili Naan. They were spectacular together! We moved on and ordered a few more apps all while chatting with the wonderful man tending the bar and our food order and just happened to be the owner/chef Chani Singh. He was gracious and knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I switched to a Sauvignon Blanc which held up beautifully with the spice and heat of the food. The fish, samosas and hummus were all the best I’ve eaten! We also had Daal Makhni off the charts delicious! Highly recommend this place for happy hour and cannot wait to bring friends for a whole meal! We felt welcomed, cared for and full by the time we finished!

Food was amazing. The samosa trio was really good. Each one was different. Big enough to spilt in half. My favorite was the beef tikka kebab. Beef was soft and tender and full of flavor. Also tried the yellow Daal Tadka with garlic Nana. Had a little bit of heat but was delicious. Couldn’t leave with out trying one of the biryanis. I ordered the boneless chicken biryani. Nice flavor. Comes with a yogurt to mix with. Definitely worth coming by and trying this place out if you like Indian Food. Servers here are friendly. I recommend coming early or making a reservation. Will definitely return again.

The experience was amazing! Everyone there was so welcoming especially the owner and our waiter Nikki. She was super nice and always there when we needed her. She gave us some great recommendations. The food was superb, coming from someone who has never ate Indian food in their life. My expectation was very much exceeded and will be definitely coming back!

Having dined there last evening after reading positive reviews, I found the restaurant to be quite lovely, with a beautiful ambiance. The menu appeared to be very appealing. We selected the lamb boti kabab, vegetable momos, and drums of heaven, and everything was delicious and flavorful. For our main courses, we sampled the shahi paneer and saag chicken, accompanied by truffle naan, malai naan, and garlic naan. The shahi paneer was particularly delightful, offering a unique flavor profile compared to other restaurants, and is certainly a must-try dish. The saag chicken and the trio of naans were also very enjoyable. The lychee mojito was also quite good.
Our server, Nikki, provided outstanding service, and frequently checked on us.
The only suggestion I would offer is that the red beans served with the vegetable momos could be improved. The beans lacked flavor and did not complement the otherwise delicious vegetable momos.

Saffire was a fantastic choice for dinner tonight. Our waiter, Shakeeb, was so friendly and helpful. He recommended the Cheese Naan and it was excellent.
We went with the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Paneer Tikka. The paneer was a bit spicy for my wife, but we both loved it! The chicken was so tender and delicious.
We will NEED to come back to try more and we’ll be very happy to do so!
