TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Jose and John were very friendly and helpful. We got samples of the frozen Hi-Cs. Ended up buying two because he gave us the option of combining two flavors. We had placed an online order and he was fast and accommodating. Our food was hot, accurate, and delicious. We loved the vibe and the atmosphere here a lot more than our closest location.

Amazingly flavorful fried chicken! That crispy crunch seasoned with their amazing spices and topped with plenty of zesty pickles made this chicken some of the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend their #3 which includes a slider (basically a full sandwich called a slider to make us feel better) and a full sized tender.

As soon as I walked in one of the employees, Nate, greeted me heartily. He made me feel very welcome. While ordering we got to chat for a bit and he showed genuine interest in me. The place was clean and colorful. I waited around 10 minutes to get my food and it came out to $16. The food itself was warm and flavorful. I got the lite mild flavor and it was exactly what I was craving!

i got the slider from dave’s hot chicken and it was amazing. crispy outside juicy inside and the spice was just right. the sauce and pickles made it even better. also joshua was such a friendly worker he made the whole experience even better! definitely coming back.

The food was pretty tasty and wonderful. We had the #2 combo ( 2 mild sliders and fries) and the 4 mini sliders no spice. This was my first time at Dave’s, and it went beyond my expectations. I will definitely come back. The low rating for atmosphere was due to the music being extremely loud (see video).

First time here. Ordered their sandwich and a tender. No spice I want to taste the chicken. Good quality meal. Fresh ingredients French fries were crispy hot a full of flavor . Chicken was juicy and tender. Enjoyed the inside. Good music to sit down and eat too. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Yes you wait for your food but better fresh and hot than warm or cold fast food.

We ordered online and picked it up in the drive-thru. Our food was shoved all into one bag and handed to us. The mac and cheese was literally falling out of the bag because there wasn’t enough room for it. The employee says, “Have a nice day,” and starts to walk away without giving us our beverages. When we got home, there were no napkins, no utensils, and none of the condiments we had ordered. Very disappointing…

Came here on a whim and wow the food was so good and the service was even better! Nate was so kind and helpful from the moment I ordered to the moment I left. Was very glad they had an open dining area at midnight as well. Didn’t expect much but had one of the best dine in experiences, would come back.
