The food at El Salvador Cafe is amazing and the staff are great. The options seem very authentic and the place seems to be decently busy with happy customers. We particularly love the vegetarian options, which are some of the best in Palm Springs. The Palmitas Ceviche is one of our favorites, and the Papusa and Tostada options are equally excellent. Can’t recommend El Salvador Cafe highly enough!!!

The pupusas are perfect. I love all the food here. It never fails to amaze my palette and appetite. We need more Salvodorean Honduran Ecuadorian Pamanian every Central America and South American country represented with at least 5 or six restaurants. This valley doesn’t need another taqueria. This valley doesn’t need another CHIPOTLE. Efffff them. We need more places like El Salvador Cafes and less Loco Charleys.

We drive out 1 hour just to come have these Pupusas. The pupusa loca is my favorite. Whoever came up with that one…kiss to the chef. The best I’ve tasted in my life. Hands down the best. Then they have an amazing passion fruit drink. If you are in the area, A must try.

I’m a foodie at heart, and sometimes the most comforting meals come from the simplest places. El Salvador Café has quickly become one of my favorites.

– The pupusas are the best I’ve had—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
– The ceviche is fresh, bright, and made to order.
– Everything here is prepared from scratch, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite.

I’m still exploring the menu, but so far I haven’t been disappointed. If you’re looking for authentic Salvadorian or Spanish-inspired food in Palm Springs, this is the spot to check out.

Family business feel. Felt welcome here – my good friend is from El Salvador and her mother makes good pupusas so it was nice to see some in the area. They taste amazing here – tried the shrimp & cheese as well as the spinach & cheese.

First time here. Service was really friendly and food came also pretty fast. We ate on the little patio in front of the restaurant. The pupusa (revuelta) was delicious and not to oily as I had it at an other restaurant before. Would come again for sure

Ran into this place while leaving Palm Springs a couple days ago, neither me nor my mother had had any good/authentic El Salvadoran food, so I asked the girl in the front desk for recommendations; she was helpful and friendly, very patient with all my “what is this” questions. The pupusas were all amazing and the nutty flavor of their horchata just took us off guard – in a good way. Thank you for a great experience/introduction to your food!

Our last night in Palm Springs and we found this place and their papusas on DoorDash and decided that was the way to end our visit. We ordered bean, pork, beef, and shrimp papusas as well as a shrimp tostada. The shrimp tostada according to my friend was FREAKING AMAZING and she said she could have bathed in that sauce. The papusas were also awesome. Our favorite was the pork one but all were great. My only complaint was the curtido was bland and slightly disappointing. I wish it had more tang and flavor as that is one of my favorite things about papusas. Overall I’d recommend this location but temper expectations for the curtido.

just tried this place. this was a lucky find. we ordered pork pupusas and spinach ones. both were good, however i prefer the pork. also had chicken and pork tamales. both were awesome. the masa was soft and the leaves they were wrapped in added extra flavor. Ordered other dishes as antojito as well. it’s a great way to sample the various items. would highly recommend. staff was friendly and the food came out quickly enough even there was a spike in customers.
