I love this cafe!! I’ve been coming here almost every weekend with my mom for about two years and plan to keep coming as long as I can. The atmosphere is perfect, clean and cozy, my home away from home. I’ve become so close with the staff, and they’re always so kind and accommodating towards me. This restaurant is so much more than a place to grab coffee or a quick bite, it’s a community.
The owner, Hanna, cares so much about her restaurant, always striving to make it better, to design a great experience for all her customers. She’s like family to me now, and she’s always such a bright light.
The food is high quality, clean, and never disappoints. I love their Small Soldiers so much I was inspired to make them myself (though admittedly not near as good), a perfectly small breakfast. The drinks are made with care and it shows. I’ve had the best chai latte of my life here!
But today I’ve finally decided to review them, and it’s because of the amazing experience I had today. Jodi has always been one of my favorite staff members, always so warm and kind to me. Today, though, I came in with pretty severe anxiety. I downplayed it with her, but she took notice and set out to go above and beyond for me anyways. She told me she’d take care of me and made sure I had protein and herbs that I could stomach. She was so nurturing, took me outside to smell the herbs they grow, to feel the soil. I felt so grounded and loved in that moment that I couldn’t help but cry a little. It was one of the nicest things someone outside my family has done for me and I will never forget her kindness.
Thank you to everyone at Runaway Luna for making my weekend mornings so special and filled with love, this restaurant matters so much to me and I’m excited for its future! ❤️

It’s super cute and very pretty, and the staff is super nice. I also really liked the setup and the team of girls working there. My tea was delicious, but the sandwich I ordered wasn’t my style because I’m not a fan of that type of fluffy bread. Everything else was very good. I’m leaving this review so people can get to know this café — it’s an adorable spot to share with friends, enjoy a good coffee, and feel great

My daughter and I LOVE this cafe!! I discovered it a couple of years ago because I found out they served good caffeine free coffee. My daughter and I have been regulars ever since every Saturday and Sunday morning without fail. Hannah is the sweetest owner and she really takes pride in her staff and her business. She always makes sure we’re taken care of and her entire staff put so much love into everything they make. All orders are made fresh to order and they do not use seed oils. It’s got the best vibe ever and my daughter and I happily call it our third place because it’s so lovely to go in. I have taken work meetings there and people that have never been because I love it that much. The food is amazing! This will forever be my daughters and my Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast go to! Their brunch is amazing too! I have bought so many pairs of earrings, candles and even furniture because they have such unique one of a kind gifts as well! I highly recommend Runaway Luna to anyone and everyone! 🙂

Runaway Luna has been one of my favorite Austin spots for years. I fell in love with it when I lived here, and now every time I’m back in town, it’s one of my first stops. Their honeycomb latte has been my go-to drink for three years — it’s perfectly balanced, a little magical, and honestly something I still crave when I’m away.
On my most recent visit, I tried the strawberry cream cheese bagel along with my usual latte, and both were absolutely fabulous. The food is always plated so beautifully — every dish looks like a little piece of art — and the taste completely matches the presentation. I always immediately begin devouring the food so the photos are after I began eating
I’ve always found the vibe here cozy, creative, and welcoming, and I love browsing the vintage section after coffee or brunch. It’s such a unique touch and really sets them apart.
In all the years I’ve come, my experiences have always been consistently wonderful. If you’re in Austin and want great coffee, a lovely brunch, and a fun vintage browse all in one spot, Runaway Luna is truly worth the visit. ✨

As an Aussie I love the sausage rolls and meat pies as they bring me back to my childhood comfort foods but this gem of a place offers so many delightful nibbles and the tea and coffee are chefs kiss perfection!! They now have table service and we had the most delightful afternoon getting work done in the cozy corner. Natalie the barista is a magician! Her London Fog tea service is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! This spot also has a cute market perfect for picking up holiday gifts. I’ve been a fan since they opened and they just keep leveling up. Want a cozy place to have a bite, met a friend and get away from the hussle…. This is the perfect respite.

It’s a cute and cozy place with a nice vibe. The service is a bit slow, and the coffee portion was pretty small. Their avocado toast looks beautiful, but the sourdough was hard to chew. I even gave up using the knife, and the person next to me also asked for a better knife, but they didn’t have it. It made me wonder why it needed to be that tough to cut.
The food feels very café-style, but the coffee and avocado toast together were around $30, which felt a bit high for the quality. Overall, it looks better than it tastes.

Stopped here on my way to try on wedding dresses! Hannah was the ABSOLUTE sweetest. She made it so special, I even snatched up the vintage Vera Wang Wedding book. Best coffee shop in Austin 10/10 recommend for the friendly staff and atmosphere (bonus, she takes great photos!)

They bring in unique and adorable items, and I’ve even acquired a beautiful beaded camera strap, a leather wallet, and a longhorn hat magnet. There’s something for everyone here, and I genuinely enjoy visiting this local café that goes far beyond being just a coffee shop.
The food and drinks here are simply amazing. My personal favorites include the honeycomb latte, and the Luna alfresco. For treats, I can’t resist their cake pops or the cookies with raspberry jam in the center. But let’s not forget their breakfast tacos, croissants, and egg bites—they’re all equally delicious.

I came in today for lunch and the food is so tasty, all their food is delicious. I would definitely recommend new comers to come here and try out everything. The vibe and atmosphere is great and the workers are super sweet and amazing. They have tons of cute things in the shop.

This is my favorite cafe and brunch spot! It’s adorable and the staff are all warm and friendly, making every trip feel so inviting. I always leave feeling better than when I arrived.
