Popped in for lunch by chance and by god the pizza was amazing. The special that week was vodka sauce pizza with a side of dipping vodka sauce, and it was to die for. Semi-casual atmosphere where they seat and serve you so there is an 18% service charge included. But worth it.

I did not have the full experience here because I arrived right as they were closing. However, despite this, they served us with a smile and the food did not disappoint.
We got a “Detroit style” pizza with vodka sauce and pepperoni, which was delicious! I also loved the decor in here and cannot wait to go back.
Seriously though, props to them for not ushering us away!

I ordered from boogy and peel because I wanted to try something new and am happy I did.
The pizza does not deliver well, the crust came soggy, but it would have been amazing if I ate there. The pizza is packed with flavor and spice. I had the macha roni and loved it!!!
The wings were not good. They were overcooked and the sauce did not stay on them.
The Italian sandwich was very nice. I prefer something rich and filling, but their take on it is light and airy. You get all the flavors but you’re not weighed down after eating it. I’d order it again.

This is, hands-down, the best pizza you’ll get in Washington DC. Being originally from Connecticut, it has been difficult to find really good pizza in Washington DC however over the last few years the options have gotten much better. This pizza joint blows all of them out of the water. To me, their Macharoni Is the best bite of pizza you can get in the entire DMV. It is also really difficult to find a good buffalo chicken pizza in this area, and this one is absolutely phenomenal. They’re dough holds up incredibly well, their pies are always perfectly cooked and never rushed even when they’re busy like some other places, and ingredients are a superb quality and really shine through. I have friends who come to visit once a year from Florida and New Jersey and each year they always request to go back to Bogey and Peele. Their pizzas deliver well with the green ingredients holding up through the delivery process. Their wings are solid and a good choice. The Caesar salad is always perfectly seasoned and dressed and also delivers well. I highly recommend eating there in person, it has such a great vibe, especially when you sit at the Counter in front of the kitchen. Also, don’t sleep on the Reuben.

I hate to be this person because I love the macharoni pizza but if I’m spending $13 on the salsa macha that is advertised to be 8oz, I expect more than a not even half filled 16oz pint container. I don’t expect it to be all the crisp but this is a little sad and ridiculous.

The pizzas here are amazing — by far the best I’ve had in DC. The kale caesar pizza in particular was an unexpected surprise which I’ll definitely order again. The crust is chewy and crispy with a great char.

Neopolitan pizza place serving up personal sized pizzas with unique toppings. Overall the pizza was a 9/10. Crust had some char but was also fluffy. It was able to hold all the toppings without getting droopy. Vodka sauce had a nice spice to it and the mushroom pizza was on the lighter side. Parking sucks, you’ll have to get lucky or park at the garage across the street for $20.

Tried last night for the first time. Great crust. Great flavor.
The owner/manager seemed like a good guy and asked me lots of interesting business related questions.
Hope this place succeeds

A casual pizza place where you can find combinations of pizza toppings which are not conventional. We had the kale salad with anchovies and the pizza with the eggplant, feta and honey drizzle. The salad was super delicious with lots of flavor and texture. It is a bit on the salty side, which I think can be elevated with something that adds a bit of freshness and cleans the palate. The anchovies add lots of flavor which I highly recommend if you do not have any dietary restrictions. The pizza has dill and mint which makes it super light and refreshing. The honey is not overpowering any other flavors, and not too sweet, so I highly recommend trying it with the honey. One other variation would be to have chili infused honey instead of a regular one. I found the amount of eggplant too little though the sauce was super flavorful. The crust is also super nice with crunchy corners. The bubbles around the corner shows a well-done proofing process of the dough. The interior is also very clean and trendy, which makes it ideal if you want to have something casual but don’t feel like you have a take out. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

It’s a lively bright place with great service. On this night, we were here two hours prior to close and were informed that only 20 pizzas were left to be made before they were to run out. That was interesting for a Saturday night, but greatly appreciated that they told us this given a quoted one hour wait to be seated. Would we be seated in time before they ran out? It turned out to be a wait of 15 minutes.
Two pies were ordered; pepperoni and the inventive Big Mac. The first was pretty classic, loaded with pepperoni and honey pepper. The crust is the star, the pizza overall was solid. The brussel sprouts dish was incredible… Sweet, salty, crispy, and tart.
The Big Mac was exactly what you think of with the traditional hamburger, only incarnated in a pizza. The special sauce is precisely what McDonald’s would create. It was novel, but I’d not order it again – it’s just a tad weird for my taste – as I prefer more traditional varieties – yeah, I know that’s what this place is known for, zany cooked dough with stuff atop.
The head scratcher of the night was on the bill. They had an 18% service charge, which most would assume covers the tip, but that wasn’t clear here on the bill itself. They seemed to insinuate it didn’t when checking out.
The response from the restaurant is below about the service charge, which is helpful! Thanks!
