Now my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Edinburgh! Can’t wait to try more things on their menu. Service also great, usually more empty when you come for a weekday lunch. But definitely more busy over dinner and weekend time and I’d recommend reservations.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was really great. The staff are super attentive, the decor is nice and warm, and the food was delicious.

Another great lunch at we think Edinburgh’s best Vietnamese restaurant helped along with Daniel and Jenifer. Photo shows our starters including their Chicken Salad one of the most memorable dishes of all time, well except my wife’s meat loaf. Hoi An’s beef stock for their pho is also in my view is #1 although the portion size is huge. It would be good if there was an old folks portion available. Golly on 12th December Hoi An will have been open only one year but already feels like an Edinburgh Establishment. 10/10.

It was my son’s 13th birthday and we wanted to find out and chose Hoi An on a weekday in September after school.
We had a prawn and chicken starter and son had grilled chicken with rice, wife had a curry and I had crispy duck. Food was delicious.

Whilst in Edinburgh, we visited for lunch. We wanted to try some authentic Vietnamese foods. No disabled access, a step into the restaurant which was managable for me and not a problem for my other friends. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A good variety of dishes on the menu to suit all tastes. We were with a friend from Vietnam so he felt at home and loved the food as did we. We ordered our food, it was so delicious with fresh ingredients, herbs and spices. We all very much enjoyed our meals and hope to return soon.

What a fantastic addition to the burgeoning Vietnamese food scene in Edinburgh. We were I believe the first customers to experience this new restaurant which opened today. It did not disappoint. The food and service were first class. The Pho was exceptional which is always a good sign. We also enjoyed some new dishes. The Chicken Salad and the Papaya and Prawn Salad were fresh and fragrant with a great sour fish sauce punch. Could not fault it. We will definitely be back.
