Food is fantastic! I call them “rice killers” as you’ll want to have more. They’re currently running with a limited menu. Check their Facebook page or call to find out what’s available that day. Take out only.

We ordered takeout and the food was excellent. The meat skewers were tender and full of flavor. The fish was also full of flavour especially paired with the eggplant, easily the highlight of the meal. Meribelle is an awesome person, super friendly and welcoming. Definitely ordering again.

They held a “Pancit For a Cause” fundraiser on Saturday May 3rd to support victims of the Lapu Lapu Apr 26 tragedy. Their pancit was great, I got 3 :). Good & friendly people. Great food. I am glad this establishment exists in Nanaimo, I remember when they first opened last summer. Thank you so much Nanay Mo’s!
Looking forward to continue supporting you in the future.

My family ordered food from here the other day it’s great to have more variety of food in Nanaimo! Let’s support these guys as they are setting up.
The location is kinda cool they are currently set up in the back of the building, gives you a bit more expectation you’re going to get an authentic meal experience.
The staff were great, they helped us (inexperienced in Filipino Cuisine names and what we were ordering get some great food) most the menu was sold out, I can’t remember exactly what we ordered but the meats texture was spot on tender, and flavour was great.
The temperature of the meal was a little cool, but the taste was good.
We will come back I hope to try out those spring rolls!

It’s our first time ordering from this place today and I just had to come and write a review because it was so good! We ordered the lechon kawali and sinigang na baka (extra sour). I’m Filipino and this meal hit all the cravings! My Polish husband enjoyed everything as well.
This place is run by an adorable Filipino family and you can tell that the cook puts a lot of love in his food. However, the real star of the show is the adorable host (one of the kids) who was managing front of the house operations. 🙂
I am very excited to have a Filipino option for food around here and so glad they’ve joined the community!
Unfortunately we dove right into the food before getting a chance to grab some photos. I hope to remember to do this for next time.

While a little hard to find being in the back of a building it was incredibly worth it. The kid helping upfront was so sweet and helped me with the menu and the food was amazing. 10/10 will be coming back for more Halo Halo!!!

This was difficult because I was really looking forward to a Filipino food place. I went the day they had their soft launch, which just meant it was takeout only while their restaurant gets repaired. The dish I ordered, while reasonably priced, was bland and my meat was cold and very dry. I might try again in the future but I was hoping they’d have been on their A game for opening day. 3 stars because the staff was so nice and the cost was reasonable.

I called in my order and had it picked up by my son. My questions were answered and I definitely enjoyed the dinner. I received a mix of canton and rice noodles for the pancet bichon. Take away. This is a new restaurant that is trying to maintain their costs, but still put out plates that are amazing in their portion size.
So why the 4 instead of the 5 star – the texture of some of the meat was weird. Might just me, but wasn’t a fan. Some was good, but not all. The noodles and rest were great. A lot of vegetables, which is most important to me anyway – the meat I could take or leave. Will I be back – most definitely – do I suggest to others yes! Do I wish they had a veggie option – yes! Good flavour throughout, a lot of veggies – noodles were great and great people on the phone.

We ordered lecon kawali and dinadakan the lecon kawali has only 9 pieces and 25$ The lady said it’s served for 2 to 3 people, but it’s only good for one personand very greasy and the dinadakan was really spicyand they don’t put there prices on the menu and when you pay when they tell you the price and this is unprofessional and I think this is not good for your business in total, we paid $50 I paid no tip because that stuff is too overpriced for our order and got two items I don’t recommend Visitors

A bit upset when I ordered pancit and was told it was “whatever meat is available today, maybe chicken or pork” when I received my meal it was liver. I don’t like liver and could not eat it and threw it away after one bite. I hope there will be more transparency on what meat you will receive. I would not have ordered if I knew liver was the only meat option. The other dish we ordered was quite cold (pork sisig) so im not sure if it is supposed to be served cold or hot. Friendly service although food transparency needs adjusting.
