My lunch experience was great! From the cashier to the food delivery at our table we had smiling faces and friendly people interacting with us. The food was yummy as always!

The portion sizes are good. My MIL got the kids pizza and does almost every time. She usually leaves with a piece or two leftover. I had the turkey sandwich and chips. If you like sweet tea, Newks is tasty. It has just the right amount of sweet for me, but they do have other options with Splenda and unsweeten.

At first glance, Newk’s Eatery feels like the kind of place you pass by a hundred times before you realize you’ve been sleeping on something solid. I walked in expecting something simple—something quick. What I got was a surprisingly satisfying meal that delivered freshness, flavor, and comfort with a quiet kind of confidence.

Let me start with the star: the salad. This wasn’t just a leafy afterthought—it was the headliner. Their pesto chicken Caesar salad with bowtie pasta was alive with texture and vibrancy. The romaine was crisp and glistening, tossed generously with creamy Caesar dressing and a hint of pesto that added depth without being overpowering. The bowtie pasta absorbed the dressing perfectly, soft but not soggy, adding weight and body to the greens. Red bell peppers tucked between the lettuce brought a splash of brightness and crunch. The real secret? The croutons. Big, golden, and with that perfect audible crunch—they didn’t just sit on top; they announced themselves with every bite. The whole bowl tasted fresh, cold, and thoughtfully tossed. It was the kind of salad that makes you pause mid-bite and go, “Oh, wow.”

Now the broccoli cheddar soup—creamy, cheesy, and comforting in every way you’d hope for. Served warm, it was rich but not heavy, and the chunks of broccoli were hearty enough to feel like real food, not filler. The shredded cheddar on top melted in slowly, making each spoonful more decadent than the last. It balanced beautifully next to the freshness of the salad, grounding the meal with warmth.

To wash it down, I went with the iced tea—clean, cold, no artificial aftertaste. Just what it should be. Newk’s offers several varieties at their self-serve tea bar, but I kept it simple and refreshing.

And for dessert? A slice of coconut layer cake—three thick tiers of vanilla cake, layered with coconut icing and covered in sweet coconut flakes. It came chilled, clearly refrigerated, which slightly firmed the sponge and dulled that homemade fluffiness. Still, the flavor was on point: not too sweet, not too dense. It was a solid slice that just needed a few minutes out of the fridge to truly shine.

The space itself matches the food—comfortable, not pretentious. Wooden tables, bright red vinyl booths, and plenty of natural light make it a space that invites you to linger. There’s a calm energy to it, even when it’s busy. The drink station is clean and well-organized, and the grab-and-go section is stocked with salads, sandwiches, and dessert slices for those on the move.

In the end, it was the salad that left the strongest impression on me. Everything was good—but the salad was exceptional. I’d come back for that alone.

Standout Dish: Pesto Caesar Salad with Bowtie Pasta.

Newk’s is one of the best places to get salad I believe in my opinion. I love the options they have with mix and match. I got a Greek salad with a half club and it was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend got his club on wheat which I will definitely try next time it was delicious as well. The flavors the freshness the atmosphere the cleanliness and the amazing customer service is worth just stopping in and checking this place out if you’ve never been here before. It’s conveniently located in the marketplace next to all the good shops! Newk’s will forever be one of my favorite places to eat. Also they have really cool Easter cups right now which make great cups for the house ❤️

I ordered take-out on Friday and I must say it was one of the best meals.
My husband had the pizza and I had a wrap with the crayfish pepper jack cheese soup. My son tried the soup and he was impressed. We will definitely order from Newk’s again.

It was my wife’s turn to pick a place to eat, and she picked here. Won’t lie, I had a little trepidation about a place that sold salads…. She made a great choice! The basil tomato soup was amazing! I’d go there just for that. Then, the chicken salad sandwich was good, too. Just be prepared to add a little salt. It is a nice change of pace.

I have to say, first that the staff was very friendly. And cordial and kind.

My lunch choice
Paired soup with salad and chickn salad mix
I did not like my soup even though I was given a sample beforehand
. Oh, the white vein salad lettuce, chunks, I picked him out
But the salad was good and so was the dressing too many veins

I opted for the chicken salad on top and I didn’t like that. It was too salty
I also ate the lobster bisque soup, which I did not like it did not finish. It seemed to have that shellfish shells in the soup.Which was gross, So I left it,Didn’t finish it.
The other options look really good, like, really good looking sandwiches, they have cake slices to choose from and macaroni and cheese as well as pizza made to order

I got soup, salad, and fruit, and it was delicious. My son got pizza and really enjoyed it. We do not have this restaurant in Fort Worth, so I was excited to try something new. It was down the street from our hotel, and it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend giving them a try. I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to try something different so.

Newk’s has been a solid go-to for us for many years. I find the quality of the dine in experience to be better than the take-out so far, but they’ll get it worked out. Newks Q sandwich is top notch

Basically a subway/pizza joint. Good spot if you’re at the mall but I wouldn’t make a special trip here. Definitely NOT affordable. $40 for 2 half sandwich’s and 2 bowls of soup, granted it was good, but…

Picked up a portabello pesto veggie sandwich, a bowl of lobster bisque and a coke zero to take home. The sandwich was tasty but the soup had zero flavor. I even gave the soup to my mother and she agreed saying it was not good. Honestly the best part of my takeout order was the crispy coke zero in the holiday cup. For $24 and change it was super disappointing.
