We stumbled across this place because I originally went to the sister 167 raw for a lobster roll, however, fate lead us here and it blew our minds with the variety of options!! Don’t skip this one!!
They truly serve the best cocktails in town, and a huge shout-out to the bartender downstairs who is awesome and clearly a master of their craft!
The food was equally incredible. The Lamb Kebabs were absolutely delicious—tender lamb paired with perfectly crispy rice made the entire dish a winner. Adding the truffle fries on the side was the perfect indulgence! To start, the oysters were also super fresh.
A phenomenal meal with top-tier drinks and service. Highly recommended!
Their Wagyu beef sliders – they’re OUT of this world! So juice and delicious. The best thing I’ve eaten lately!
And beet salad with salmon – also such a wonderful meal!
The Hungry Detective and Special Agent Deirdre along with friends had the most fabulous experience last night at Bar 167!!!. Let me start by saying if I could give 6 stars about the experience and wonderful service from Gabrielle I would!!! Gabby went above and beyond the call of duty and is a true gem and asset to your team!!! She selected some top shelf oysters and the Martini with 3 olives was right on the money with Cathead vodka
ATMOSPHERE: This is the old Fulton 5 locations, which was the most romantic spot in Charleston back in the day and still has great bones and layout!!! Check out the upstairs bar area…super cool vibe!!!
CUISINE: We had the shrimp and calamari to start and it was perfect. The Mac and Crab was cooked to perfection accompanied with the lamb skewers AKA: “GHETTO SURF N TURF”
VERDICT: BAR 167 IS GUILTY AS SIN FOR DOING IT TOO PERFECTION EVERY TIME WITH CONSISTENT SERVICE AND FOOD!!!
NOTE: KUDOS TO GABRIELLE WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEND OUR FRIENDS AND RETURN…JOB WELL DONE!!!
The Hungry Detective and Special Agent Deirdre had a fabulous afternoon experience downtown after the Van Gogh/Monet exhibit.
The Food: We started with some top shelf blonde oysters from the PEI area. The calamari was cooked just right in a light and fresh coating. Brandon our bartender recommended the market fish (grouper) that was served over couscous and cooked to perfection. Enjoyed a bottle of bubbles “Haton” that was good tasting, crisp and clean.
Atmosphere: Super cool vibe and awesome second level bar area…this spot was the old “Fulton Five” with a totally new vibe!!! We had awesome seats in front of the raw bar and love seeing all the action!!!
SERVICE: Brandon was spot on with suggestions and knows his way around the menu.
VERDICT: Guilty as sin for doing it all right…can’t wait to return for the lamb skewers and fried mushrooms!!!
We stopped by here on a recommendation and i’m so glad we did! We had a bit of a small wait but it was no issue- we shopped around at nearby stores. We sat at the bar (which is stunning by the way) and had great service.
I tried a few oysters (delicious) and we got the calamari to start. May have been some of the freshest calamari I’ve had in my life (and I grew up on the coast of NC). Very impressed. Also tried the crab roll and that was great as well!! Can’t emphasize enough how great their cocktails were. We both tried a few and even had to ask for the recipe for one of them!
Definitely a spot you want to try!
