There was a time where we couldn’t get enough of Chef’s Kitchen. The quality of the food was on point and was expected given the price point. Not sure what has happened within the last year but the food quality has gone down dramatically. At first we thought it may have been an off night here or there but its become consistently worse. The Ribeye (Garlic Butter) was not a Ribeye for one, it was more like a flank steak. It was completely overcooked, probably not hard to do as thin as it was. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it was salty to the point of being inedible. The Salmon New Orleans used to be my favorite, mostly because of that cream sauce. These days its less cream and more watered down. The portion was incredibly small. I literally could get a salmon filet at 3x the size for $10 less at longhorns and would likely taste better as well. Hate to say it because we would love to continue to support this black owned business, however it has simply become a waste of money.

What a great addition to Lake Wylie, if you have not tried them out then you are missing some awesome food. The service was great(Thanks Mo!) and the food was amazing!
Their menu has a great variety of food choices, something for everyone. They even have a black bean burger for vegans!
The atmosphere imitate with nice jazz music playing for a nice date night but still friendly to a family with children. To the owner Taylor, you are doing a great job!

4th visit and service was better but never received our appetizer in time unfortunately and had to cancel crabcakes so we were disappointed, they are usually so good, had the lobster ravioli and lobster which was awesome, but asked for melted butter and was told the chef doesn’t have any ? Strange considering all the seafood on menu, prices have increased on all steaks and are too high for my budget, glad bread is now included with meal, my wife had the lobster and shrimp scampi , she loved it, full bar is a nice addition, thank you!

I have not had the pleasure of eating here yet, but I am sadden by how harsh people are on new restaurant day one ……It appears that food was good just some scheduling issues, which is understandable for the first day of a new restaurant …..I have experienced these same issues with well established South Park restaurants. As a resident of Lake Wylie/Clover….it saddens me that people are so unforgiving and harsh….I suppose it’s just a sign of the new times we are in where …..being rude is in and southern hospitality is out…..smh. Thanks for bringing something new to this area, wishing your restaurant success. SO to add to this review I have had an opportunity to eat here ….. and the food was delicious I meant to take pictures but it was so good looking when it came out we dived right in……wings were very good and my husband said it was the best steak he ever had, all the food was Great I think we have found our new date night spot.

I’ve been a fan of Chef Anthony Smith for a while now just based off of his Instagram. When I found out he opened a restaurant I knew that I needed to go. So I made a reservation for my daughters birthday brunch. Everything was so good…the drinks, our Server Nakeya(?) and our drinks were amazing!!! I was even allowed to bring balloons and cupcakes to the restaurant which also was a huge plus. Oh and the decor is a vibe. You forget that it’s located inside of the mall. Definitely will be back

Amazing!! I do not write reviews but this food was so good. My husband and I found this place on door dash on a random Wednesday night a few weeks ago, the lobster ravioli was amazing so much that we dined in person the same weekend for date night. Our waitress gave some great suggestions and it was once again amazing. The ambiance is very mellow and calming. Great for date nights, will order again!

Birthday celebration with 9 of my close friends 8pm Saturday 9/17. Great service, friendly wait staff, fantastic food. Highly recommend the crab cakes & Salmon New Orleans. Bar drink was superb. Definitely will return. It was a busy Saturday outside of my guest but the staff didn’t miss a beat. Thanks Chefs Kitchen. Will be back!

Chefs kitchen fairly new location Is located directly across from Budget / Avis Car Rental & Breakout) inside of Carolina place mall. Kudos for having a fine dining upscale restaurant inside the mall .
This black owned establishment has a Modern fusion cuisine twist. The lobster & shrimp scampi was delicious.
The grilled lamb lollipops were ok in my book but nothing to really brag about . We also had the crab cakes , roasted sea bass and creme brûlée cheesecake. So it’s also a full service bar inside as well .
Every time I’m in the mall now I make it a point to stop by here and grab a meal .

My husband came through once again! The place was a vibe! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We even ordered a meal to go, sorry i didn’t take a picture of that meal- just know that was good too. Lol! The drinks were great! We will definitely be going back.

BEWARE SCAM –
A relative of mine hired Chef Anthony to cater their wedding in two weeks (10/18). Approximately 8k has been sent and they haven’t heard from him since 8/26 (when the check cleared).
They’ve turned off their comments (on both Facebook and instagram) and they’re avoiding our communication attempts. If this isn’t resolved soon we will have no other choice but to seek legal recourse.
Not to mention, we’re now scrambling to find a replacement caterer. Very disappointing, especially considering they’re a black owned business.
Don’t be fooled by the professional appearance and social media accounts. I would avoid them at ALL costs.
