Absolutely loved the food! This was a to-go order, and everything was packed perfectly and still tasted fresh and delicious when I got home. The samosa chaat was crispy and full of well-balanced chutneys, yogurt, and spices, the chicken pepper fry was packed with bold, aromatic pepper flavor and tender chicken, and the paneer was amazing—soft, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You can really tell the chef puts care and skill into every dish. Definitely ordering again!

Heera Indian Cuisine in Akron, Ohio was an okay experience overall. The food was decent, but nothing really stood out enough to elevate the visit. Service was subpar, though not bad—just a bit inattentive. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, but not particularly inspiring or memorable.

We ordered the Mysore Chutney Masala Dosa and the Paneer Biryani. The dosa didn’t quite meet our expectations, at least for our tastes. The Paneer Biryani, however, had good flavor and was the highlight of the meal—we would definitely order that again.

Pricing felt slightly on the higher side, but not out of line with what restaurants are charging these days. While I probably wouldn’t return, Heera is still worth trying if you’re looking for a place with a wide variety of options, especially different dosa offerings.

Finally found the perfect comfort meal! The Dal Tadka was slow-cooked to perfection, rich with ghee and garlic, while the Jeera Rice was incredibly fluffy and fragrant. Paired with the fiery, crispy Chicken 65, this was a perfect balance of smoky, creamy, and spicy. Total home-style food that feels like a warm hug. 10/10!”

I had the pleasure of trying the Mandhi Biryani at Heera Indian Cuisine and truly enjoyed it. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of gentle flavors. The rice was aromatic and perfectly balanced with spices. The garnish added a lovely touch to the dish. Everything was presented neatly and tasted fresh. It felt like a comforting, well-made meal. I would happily order it again.❤️❤️❤️

Best South Indian food in Akron!

The Bollywood Dosa was perfectly crispy, the Madras Podi Idly was soft and full of spice, and the Medu Vada had that perfect crunch outside and softness inside. Everything tasted authentic and freshly made.

Highly recommend if you’re craving real South Indian flavors!

First time being in the Akron area and tried this place on a whim. AMAZING!!! The food was perfect, and the staff was very kind. Our food came out quick and tasted very fresh. I ordered the Chicken Kadai and it was just what I hoped for – great flavor and tender meat, with nice big pieces of veggies, and a perfect amount of rice to go with it. The Limca soda I ordered was delicious too, so glad I tried it! I went with a group of friends and they all had similarly pleasant experiences. Will definitely be back!

The service was great. I will say, if you are vegan, do not rely on that (just saying it) as an understanding. It was better when I said specifically no animal milk, yogurt, no egg, meat, etc. The food was tasty and flavorful. I ordered the coconut rice, tofu wrap and masala fries, Indian cola, and veggie samosas. Everything was great except the rice. It just was not a strong enough coconut flavor for me. Overall, I am definitely returning.

I’ve had tandoori before… but this one tasted real.
Smoky, tender, and full of spice — not dry, not bland.

Then came the Lamb Kothu Parotta — rich, messy, spicy, comforting. The kind of dish that reminds you of late-night street food in India.

Finally, Indian food that feels authentic.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. The vindaloo was spicy and delicious! The naan was also very nice with a little char. The menu was varied and I would try other items here for sure! Staff was also great; very friendly! The entire experience was worth it, especially the favors!
