I had catfish for the first time here and it was delicious! The chicken was fall off the bone, the yams were hot and savory, the cornbread was authentic, and the strawberry shortcake was sweet and creamy. The owner is very friendly and has done a great job with the place.

Asked for chicken to be fried crispy…the chicken was old dipped in some old burnt grease….the Mac and cheese was a corner price that was the last in the pan, the dressing was dry and burnt…. Asked for gravy on the side which I never got… called to express my dislike for my meal and was rudely addressed by the staff and manager..expressed I lived to far to return meal and simply asked for a credit which I was denied…..60$ for a meal I couldn’t even enjoy! Will never patronize this establishment again!

The place is open and spacious. Clean and a welcoming atmosphere. The waitstaff was attentive and polite. The food….the catfish fritters are tasty and we’re fresh. I had baked chicken with two sides and an extra side. The chicken was good, seemed a bit small. The dressing tasted like they added a pinch of sugar, not my thing. The Mac was cheesy but not flavorful which was odd. The greens were ok. They had alot of stems and a bit sweet for my taste. Overall, it was ok. Would I go again? Probably not. The entire entree just lacked “soul”. Something in the taste was missing.

Friendly staff with a warm welcome. Clean and beautifully decorated. I ordered the catfish and was very happy to taste farm raised catfish. I had greens and candied yams as my sides. Both tasted fresh. If it’s from a can they are very food a disguising it. It’s a little on the pricey side. Not going to deter me

We was driving past. Dropped in. We just ordered something to try out & the food, and im glad we did. Because it was AMAZING . Smothered Pork chops, dressing, & yams. The gravy was EVERYTHING Customer service was A1. I will definitely be back.

I was at a networking event around the corner, we got out early just in time for me to catch this place open, it was the end of the day, like 30 minutes til closing and they were so nice greeted as soon as you walk in, of course there was only take out or pick up, the dining area was closed and being clean. The restroom was very clean and smelled great (a huge plus for me). I only ordered 4 wings and they were great, I plan on returning on a date with my husband to experience the full dining then I’ll update

I have been craving SF and found this absolute GEM. My fam and I visited today around 12:30. I had fried chicken meal with greens, yams and cornbread muffin. My cousin had shrimp meal with mac&cheese, yams and dressing with gravy. IT WAS SO GOOD! OUr server was awesome! FOOD was FR! And then dessert! Oh my word…. thee most moist cake I’ve had since my grandma cakes! Great experience!! Will definitely be back! Can’t wait!!!!
