We called to put in an order for cashew chicken and bourbon chicken combos. We also ordered crab Rangoon as appetizer.
I thought it would be easier to tell the person on the phone what number we wanted, but the nice girl on the other end wanted to know the names of the dishes.
It was a good sign when I walked in to pick up my order, and the girl was sitting down, pulling the strings off of snap peas!
I got the impression that most of their vegetables were fresh.
The portion sizes were huge! When I carried the bag out to the car, it was heavy.
When we got home, the food was still quite hot.
The flavor of the dishes were about average. I believe they don’t use much MSG, which is good.
I actually saw little bits of crab color in the Rangoon.

I ordered the lunch special so I paid about $9 or so. Got general so chicken. It was okay the rice was a little overcooked and hard. I was hungry so I ate there. I was sweating because the AC was pretty low. Would be nice for better customer service. Probably won’t eat here again.

I actually didn’t purchase anything, I came in to ask a question and there was a lady there, that was speaking to me, I didn’t see her at first, I looked down, she was on her phone and she didn’t look up but continued to speak to me stooping down behind the counter. She didn’t look up until a few min later. I asked her if she was ok and she said “Yes allergies.” I asked her if China Wok had fried vegetables egg rolls and if they were fried in the same grease as the shrimp, and she said yes, it’s not what she said but the shortness of tone and rudeness.

It was my first time eating Chinese and my friend recommended me to eat at the Chinese Wok in Avalon. It was the decision I made! I was very confused about what to order at first but luckily, the girl on the phone was so nice and helpful. She helped me explain each dish, allergens, and recommendations. I have very strict diet limitations and since that allows me to eat only certain food, I was very touched by the attention the girl had given me. When I got there to pick up, I realize the girl was also the same person that helped me out the other day at the gas station! I’d trust my baby and dog’s life to this girl if I have to. The food was outstanding and so flavorful. You don’t have to trust me, but the food speaks volumes.

First time getting food from this place. We got 3 of the combination plates to go. The rice was pale and tasteless. No vegetables,no nothing. Just the pork in the rice. The meat was blah. They gave us 2 soy sauce and 2 duck sauce for 3 meals. No eating utensils or napkins. Definitely not worth the money.

GO TO YUMS!! All of this food is going to waste, in the trash! If I could leave zero stars, I would. My husband ordered one of his usual favorites (not from here), boneless spareribs. We called ahead for takeout. He walked in, stated he was there to pickup and the employee walks away to retrieve his order. While he’s waiting, he picks up a magazine that was on the counter and begins flipping through to pass the time. The employee comes back, literally snatched the magazine from him, closes it and flips it over. My husband being the kind hearted person he is, just stands there stunned. He signs the receipt, takes his order and leaves. While he’s there waiting, another customer begins speaking rudely to my husband but that’s another story. We get home, he begins eating his supper and gives me a piece to try. The meat is old and rancid. He was just going to drowned it in sauce so it was tolerable, I told him no way! Do not eat that! I will NEVER spend one more of my hard earned dollars here!! We’ll go to YUMS instead!!

I just moved here and let me tell you as a south Floridian, where we have lots of good Chinese spots. THIS is authentic good quality Chinese at a good price. Staff is also friendly and the back cook area looks very clean and maintained. Excellent overall
