Gelato, baked goods & coffee, plus sandwiches & New York–style pizza, turned out in a busy setting.

Bright Texas heat, cool spoon, perfect timing. This lemon gelato in San Antonio was everything I wanted: sharp, clean citrus up front, then a smooth, creamy finish that never turned heavy. Not too sweet, not too icy—just pure, refreshing balance. One bite felt like a reset button on a hot afternoon. I’d come back just for this flavor alone.

We were trying to find an ice cream shop that we ate at last time we camr to San Antonio, but stumbled upon this gelato shop instead. The gelato is amazing, and you can see in the images how we have already eaten so much of it. Don’t worry, they give you lots of it to start with, and the price is decent, but a little high in my opinion ($5.59 per Gelato cup). Amazing gelato, we can’t wait to try the pizza!

Fransecos is top notch and does not disappoint. The gelato is takes like authentic Italian gelato. I have had gelato in Italy and I could not taste the difference. Being from NYC the pizza takes like an nyc “slice.” If you go to The Alamo don’t forget to stop at Fransecos.

We came by for our First time on Saturday. Our ticket says Jesse not sure if it was the same person that gave us our ice cream. But the staff was EXTREMELY NICE!!!! He asked us if we wanted to try different flavors, answered all our questions was super nice. The ice cream was super rich!!! Thank you for taking care of us.

Good stuff!! I had the strawberry and dark chocolate gelato. My wife had the Mexican vanilla. Super good. We all enjoyed it!!
Small seating area in the back that’s air conditioned made it a nice relaxing treat.
The young men working there behind the counter were quite nice.

Stumbled upon this gelato shop and it’s cute and yummy. The best part? I loved the variety of flavors. Prices are okay but the gelato is delicious. They had walls full of toys and items for purchase which was nice too. The worst part? The store layout feels like one big hallway. It was busy when we went and it was hard to find a spot to stand because it felt tight. At the very end though they do have tables and it’s a little bigger. Also, if you want to purchase something that’s not gelato, you have to go to a different counter. This was confusing because they had signs by the gelato so we stood in line and then were told for those items we had to go somewhere else. But overall, it was a good spot to stop at.

Depending on when you go, there may be a bit of a line.
Is it worth a wait? Sure. The pizza is quite flavorful, and the crust is spot on for my style.

Stumbled upon this place by accident and I couldn’t have been happier. The pizza is so good and for the how big and delicious the slice is, makes me wonder why I didn’t visit sooner. The location is at Alamo Plaza and across River Center Mall. Major tourist area but if you want to stop in for some good tasting pizza, try this place. Definitely my go to place for pizza downtown. Never a line, always a place to sit, they have good tunes on as well and for the price…. you can’t beat it!

Was walking about downtown and wanted a slice of pie.. remembered this place has some. Not very good almost taste like the frozen box brand Tony’s pizza. I wouldn’t try it again. The ice cream on the other hand looks worth trying Gelato.

Can’t speak on the food. We walked in with 4 kids, and 3 out of 4 adults had to use the restroom. We saw the (customers only) sign, but we didn’t know we had to buy before we used the restroom and washed our hands. I walked out and got yelled at by Amy asking if I was with the group that used the restrooms. First, that’s embarrassing and not her business. Second, lower your voice. She then demanded a receipt for the restroom, which I don’t understand still. She called for a manager, and we explained that the 4 kids in the front had been ready to order, but AMY was too busy policing the restrooms. The manager tried to back her until she realized the situation. I think the manager just realized how dumb this was and just told us to forget about it.
Needless to say, if you go there, please be vigalent when deadly with angry Amy.
