Such a beautiful restaurant with delicious Italian foods. It was a little tricky to find but it’s on the ground floor of the hotel, with underground free hotel parking. You can tell each dish was really though out and everyone is made from scratch. Dishes aren’t too crazy but substantial enough to be full. I tried new things I haven’t before and I loved everything I had. This is my new nice date spot for Italian food.
The unexpected star was the drinks. The wine and whiskey sours we had were superb, definitely one of the best I’ve ever had.

An absolute brunch masterpiece!
If you’re looking for the best brunch spot in Austin, Poeta is it. I’m already counting down the days until I can go back!

From the second we walked in, the vibes were perfect. The entire staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—they truly make you feel welcome, especially the bartender Kat, crafting the best drinks. And the food? Everything was so delicious!
Here’s the breakdown of what blew us away:
• The Kolaches: You can tell these are freshly baked. They were pillowy, warm, and easily some of the best I’ve had.
• The Avocado Toast: This is a bold claim, but it’s the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. They do a white bean purée with whole white beans on top that adds such a sophisticated, creamy texture.
• The Breakfast Plate: Every bite was a powerhouse of flavor. It’s a classic dish elevated with so many unique notes.
• The Hash Browns: Forget everything you know about standard hash browns. These were ultra-crispy with a unique spin that made them addictive.
• Waffle with Gelato: We ended with the waffle, which came topped with gelato and a buttery espresso syrup. It was such a unique, yummy combination of flavors that I haven’t seen anywhere else.
Poeta isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. Amazing service, creative dishes, and top-tier flavors. See you guys again very soon!

Loved every single dish. Got the vegetarian tasting. Very fresh. Love the play of each flavor in creating each and every dish. Very different flavors and combinations.
Very cozy location. Good service. Would come again!

Cute date place. The staff was friendly. Food was great. We went during brunch hours. Wear decent clothes! Drinks were great.

Will definitely be visiting when the patio opens up and for dinner.

Free parking for 2 hours.

Had the spaghetti carbonara and wow. Perfectly al dente pasta coated in the creamiest, silky sauce with just the right amount of richness. The balance of savory and peppery notes was spot on. The vibes? Moody, warm, and intimate — the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for both the flavor and the atmosphere.

It was sooo goood!! I don’t eat pork and Italian restaurants are always a hit or miss. Poeta was a hit for sure, so many great dishes on the menu. And everything is farm to table. I do recommend making a reservation.

Tasting menu was great and well priced, I was worried about the portions but we were all plenty full. There wasn’t a lacking dish, all great. The atmosphere is intimate inside and the garden was nice outside! I appreciated them having bug spray on hand. They are still getting their footing and service can be a little lagging. From start to finish after seating, it was 2.5 hours for all courses. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and they took a little while to arrive and didn’t arrive until we all had finished the first course. Overall, I would recommend if looking for an intimate dining experience.

Great food & friendly service in Poeta’s new space! Luckily we had a reservation because this place was packed—saw maybe two two-tops vacant in the dining room during our meal. The tuna carpaccio was our favorite; we also enjoyed the white bean dip, beet salad, sourdough, and swordfish. The over-the-top friendly service was really what made the meal though

The restaurant recently relaunched (they had their soft reopening on Jan 1). I was satisfied with my experience – the food was kind of mid (I get the sense they’re still working out the new menu), but it’s hard to really impress when it comes to breakfast. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service was excellent. A solid choice if you’re in the area!

We reserved the Chef’s tasting menu. One of us went with the vegetarian option to test it out. We liked everything about the place, service and food except for the entrees. Both the lamb and the eggplant were not up to the mark. Especially the eggplant dish. It would have been a solid 5 star if the entrees were as good as the rest of the four courses. We would recommend getting the wine pairing option that included 2 whites, 2 reds and Sherry.
